Yeah, zOMG'in can get pretty friendly. XD
In my opinion- and it's just my opinion, not a fact of life- boring is something you, as a writer, don't have interest in. For example, I don't really care to write about airplanes. If I wrote a paper on airplanes, it would be very, very boring to me AND my audience. Now, airplanes themselves are not boring, nor are papers about them, necessarily. It's all a matter of opinion.
That being said, branching out and writing different things- like fight scenes, conflict, things like that- can make a world of difference for any writer. It's best to experiment, go with what feels right. If you don't think what you're writing is interesting, change it up.
