The Girl Behind the Pixels

Hi Gaia; I'm Emerald. A lot of people call me Emiri, my middle name, so both names are fine.

I'm a writer, photographer, and illustrator, and I'm planning on majoring in either writing or art. Music has always been a huge part in my life. No, I'm not one of those people who claim that they listen to everything "but country or rap, etc."; I listen to everything. (I adored Muse before Twilight-mania began, by the way.)

I'm huge on Japanese culture. Despite my looks, I'm part Japanese, and I can speak the language quite fluently. I plan to move in the Shibuya district with my cousins after I finish college. ;D

I still play Pokemon, and I watch the series periodically. I'm probably the biggest Ash Ketchum/Satoshi fangirl on this site, and I can't wait for HeartGold/SoulSilver! I'm also a pretty successful Pokemon breeder, so if you want anything in particular, ask me for my friend code.

Some other video game favorites of mine are Tales of Symphonia, Harvest Moon, Dark Cloud, Warioware, Animal Crossing, Sonic the Hedgehog, Zelda, and Super Smash Bros.

I'm a fan of shoujo-ai, seinen, josei, slice-of-life, and shonen anime/manga. My bookcase is jampacked with manga, DVDs, and OVAs at the moment, and I have an entire collection of figurines and merchandise straight from Japan. I should buy a new bookcase for everything D;

On top of Japanese, I speak French. Oui oui : D
