I was still in high school when i had my oldest child, before i had him i stayed back three years in a row (one year wasnt my fault i was in the hospital for meningitis for a long time) but anyway i didnt do work and blew school off like it was worth nothing. Once i found out i was going to be a dad i buckled down and thats the year i read a ton of books from my own library, they let me since they were amazed i actually wanted to pass and they wanted to get me to pass anyway they could so they eventually agreed to let me pick my own books but my first pick was alice in wonderland haha because my girlfriend had read it and said it was great. Thats how it got in my life but yeah it is truely a great story
