Fighting Styles

Hidariude fights using Gishudo, the Way of the Cyberarm. This fighting style is essentially kenjutsu, but incorporates his retractable cyberblades in his left arm while wielding his sword in his right hand. His left hand has a blade in each finger and three claw-like blades are in the top of the hand, as well as his arm length blade. He uses the hand blades for claw strikes and has a signature three move combo that involves all blades, but mostly he just uses the long blade like a second sword. Finally, he also has electrokinesis that he can use three ways; throw a lightning bolt diretly from his cyberarm, conduct it through his sword, or conduct it through both blades simultaneously, each technique more powerful than the previous, but drain him so he usually sticks to melee.

Keisei uses a combination of tessenjutsu(fighting with fans) and kenjutsu, wielding a warfan in one hand and a sword in the other. She actually prefers the fan, but carries the wakiazashi for sentimental reasons and knows how to use it when necessary. Her best fighting technique though is pyrokinesis to control fire from paper bombs and other ninja style incendiaries.

Kichiku fights with Northern style Iron Body Kung Fu, which is slow, but heavy and strong. His secret technique is geokinesis, the ability to move earth and cause quakes. This power is very dangerous, so he uses it sparingly.

Ryu fights using standard kenjustsu, almost the same style that he taught to Hidariude. He lacks cybernetics and elctrokinesis, so his repertoire is limited to standard sword techniques.

Douji fights using Kung Fu that he learned from Kichiku, though his smaller frame makes it less effective. His true secret to power is psychokinesis that includes, but is not limited to, all previously mentioned esper powers, however he has not yet learned to control these powers and refrains from using them when possible.

Neko has the combined abilities of her parents, but is only half as good with either electrokinesis or pyrokinesis. Since she doesn't have cybernetics she can't use gishudo and does not have her own sword, so she relies mostly on tessenjutsu and Tiger style Kung Fu.

Seichei is modeled after Hidariude and fights in a similar style, though he has a complimentary set of cyberblades instead of a sword, so he compensates by extrapolating double cyberskills. He can also transform to become more powerful by getting bigger and having more blades.

Renzokuken is a gun specialist so his melee fighting skills are nil.

Baz has no formal training and simply improvises brawling, relying entirely on her genetically engineered muscle tone. Against normal humans, this works, against the espers, she doesn't stand a chance.

Aka is a trained fighter, but isn't focused enough to follow any recognizable style. He relies mostly on speed so his fighting styles resembles a combination of capoiera and akido, thoguh he wouldn't recognize either style if it kicked him in the face.

Hime is a psychokinetic like Douji but has no discipline so she uses her powers with reckless abandon.

About

I am Hidariude, writer and main character of 7th Moon. What is 7th Moon? 7th Moon is a biotechnology and prosthetics corporation built on an eponymous satellite and for two decades since World War III, they have provided the world with food and medicine. Secretly, they have also been creating an army to subjugate those who would dare to challenge their authority. Then one day, three soldiers, Hidariude, Kichiku and Renzokuken are sent on a test run to take out what they are told is a terrorist base that threatens their safety. In the wake of battle, a crying child awakens Kichiku's sense of compassion. As Renzokuken threatens to kill the child with a complete lack of emotion, Hidariude is caught in the middle. Kichiku runs away with the child to protect him, leaving the other two to resolve the situation, with Hidariude seriously questioning his purpose. Hidariude then stumbles upon the dark truth that the target was not a terrorist base, but a simple organic farming commune that was selected only because it was considered competition and was harboring fugitives, though the latter had not been confirmed. Coincidentally, another escape attempt is made by a slave named Keisei and Hidariude decides to help her so they can escape together. A twist of fate brings them to the Shrine of the Golden Dragon where Kichiku has been staying since going AWOL and they each go through a journey of self discovery through martial arts led by Ryu. Ultimately, 7th Moon catches up with them, and the end of the this volume of the story is the beginning of a new conflict.

I\'m looking for artists to make this into a manga, if you are interested contact me.

Also, go to atelier-kamishibai.deviantart.com to download the kamishibai version of the first eight episodes-for free.

What is kamishibai? It's a method of storytelling from otakuworld.com. Download the player for free, and collect stories at the kamishibai atelier listed above. There's a whole bunch of good ones beside my story, like Legend of Aledarte, Kamikaze Saint Kouchou, Cry of the Phoenix, La Blanche, Go Green Go and the Neverending Kamishibai Project.

I'll be around folks, so if you have questions about 7th Moon or it's current medium Kamishibai, feel free to ask.

NEW: As part of my media blitz, I want to make 7th Moon into a fighting game and I have decided to use M.U.G.E.N. but I don't know how to do it myself, so I'd appreciate an experienced programmer helping me.

Keisei, Kichiku and Master Ryu

This is Hidariude's girlfriend, best friend, and mentor from 7th Moon. And if you read the story, you should know that Keisei is not wearing a bikini, or underwear, that's fur, she is NEKKID! If you don't like her nekkid, she's dressed a little more conservatively in the second picture.

Douji and Neko

The kids of the series, kept seperate to preserve the illusion they are smaller. Neko is Keisei and Hidariude's daughter. Douji is the vessel of the golden dragon Shinryu.

Sechei

Hidariude's Archnemesis, his evil twin, a robotic doppelganger. Here we see him in various states of transformation, starting with his regular form, then blades released and his ultimate form.

Villains

Renzokuken, Baz, Aka, CEO of 7th Moon Toromi Yoshi, and Hime. Hime is a child and should be smaller than the rest, but she doesn't exactly belong with Douji and Neko.

I'm kind of glad. If a book has to stick with you, it helps if it's a fun one. ^^

I have read "The Phantom Tollbooth" and I loved the whole wordplay and ideas that it used. I didn't have that specifically in mind when I wrote "The Library of En Moll", but I think it stuck with me a bit. ^^

Yeah, I was inspired by "the Jabberwock" for The Harkencrack. (What can I say? I love Lewis Carroll. ^^)
