Sure thing! They've been evolving her character into a more lately so you're just in time. :3
Try Messiah Complex first, it will explain a lot of whats going on recently. Ultimate x-men has some good moments with her and Rogue, Get Mystique is AMAZING. Also Utopia, anything in the Mystique series and manifest destiny will kick butt. :3

I've seen a few episodes here and there. I originally got into x-men when I was like 4. The old X-men TV show made me fall in love with them. :3
Have you read any comics? If you like Mystique or anyone else I'd be happy to recommend some comics for you. She has her own comic series, it's pretty fun. :3
