About
Once upon a time, on a username far beyond the reaches of any mortal now, Shuria Toushi signed onto Gaia Online. Some fellow Neopets users had referred her to this place. She was here before the new header; every since December 10th, 2006, Shuria Toushi had been a Gaian regular. Just this February, her account went under siege at the hands of some terrible person. This person, they stole all 65k in pure gold she owned, made over two hundred posts on her account, and left Shuria Toushi's existence on Gaia frozen in time.Yes, I'm Shuria Toushi. And, yes, I lost my very own identity on Gaia. I couldn't care less about some snazzy items or digital currency. I was a beta editor for someone, and I was actually recognized in the Writer's Forum by quite a few people. And now, I'm stuck starting over from the very beginning. Let's see how this thing goes, shall we?
I think that I can safely say that the sob story is over. Onto something slightly more exciting. Stuff about me! ;]
Name: Imperatrix (as in "Empress" in Latin) Xoco
Age: Well, I'm old enough to use Gaia, and young enough to be alive. Fill in the gap with your best guess.
Location: At this moment, out of my mind.
Hobbies: Writing, reading, drawing, drinking coffee, using the computer, and jigsaw puzzles
So, You Write? Yes, like a few thousand other people on here, I am a writer, born and bred. I write all different genres, minding the erotic and romance areas of literacy. Talk about a nuisance! I also did NaNoWriMo in 2007 and loved it to death! I'm following the same concept of cramming fifty thousand words together to form a novel this March as a personal challenge rather than anything else.
Music: I'm a very large fan of the Christian music genre. tobyMac, BarlowGirl, and Skillet (
The Books: Ha, books, books, books galore! I'm a lover of Frank Peretti, fantasy, spiritual fiction, and adventure. I'm willing to give anything a try, but if I don't like to first few chapters I will throw the book aside with great force. I read manga, and I'm glad to have finally finished my MAR collection. I'm interested in the shounen section of manga; shojo is too bubbles-and-hearts for my taste.
And my newest discovery: Terry Pratchett. My goodness, he's amazing! I found a copy of The Wee Free Men on my mother's bookshelf while perusing for some new reading material. I'm glad I picked it up. He has become one of my favorite authors.
Flavors of Life: I lurve the food. Food is the best thing ever! Noodles, BEEF, nachoes, pizza, coffee, you name it. Ah, and of course the all-important Jolts and Monsters!
Games of Video: Phoenix Wright... |D I could drool all day over a certain game that made lawyers sexy, but we'll stray away from that topic for now. I only own a Nintendo DS, but I love the old school '64 too. I play Mario, Zelda, Sonic, SEGA, and the like.
Religion: I respect all different belief systems planted into societies throughout the years. I myself am a devoted Christian. I love my church and I cannot wait until I get the chance to lead the songs at the beginning of the sermon.
