About
So…I’ll be brief. I don’t feel a bit like spending much time drawing one of these up, and I doubt that anyone reading this would want to spend that much time reading it. Hokay. Here we go.
On the interwebz, I’m Imperatrix Xoco. Call me Xoco, Imp, Imperatrix, whatever. Once upon a time, I was Shuria Toushi. I got meself hacked, my account frozen, and my stuff taken. Ah, well. Life goes on; I'm doing pretty a-okay in this new username.
I love to write and do it often. I’m the sort who takes part of NaNoWriMo (150k for 2008, actually) and keeps writing at a pace only the smallest bit slower for the rest of the year :3 I'll write anything as long as I've got an idea for it, though I mostly dabble in things with a fantasy flare. I don't mind a good dash of historical fiction or reality every once in a while, though.
I read, draw, sing, play video games. The works. Some favorite games off the top of my head include Okami, Final Fantasy, Phoenix Wright, MGS, Pokemon, Kirby, and Mario. I know there's more, but that's only a short list for ya'll.
I’m a total theatre geek; there’s nothing more satisfying to me than nailing a monologue I’ve been slaving over, or managing to make a stage trip look natural.
I despise crappy literature. Fine, that’s general, but it does encompass works such as Twilight (kill it with fire), the Inheritance Cycle, City of Bones, and so on. You get the picture.
My three favorite authors in the world are Sir Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and Alan Moore.
I’m a history and research geek. I look for excuses, such as “Oh, I’ve got a story set in this time period, I swear!” just to get a ride to the library to pick up books on certain, hopelessly interesting culture group or major event. Usually, I’m lying. Though I do often walk away from a history book with an idea simmering in my head.
I’ll listen to anything with a good beat or puts me in the right mood for a story. Whether it’s Andrew Lloyd Weber, Queen, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, Relient K, Three Days Grace, Pink Floyd, or something light from Counting Crows, I’ll give it a go and see if I like it.
There. I think that’s enough (though I wasn’t half as short as I hoped I’d be…).
