The reason my avatar is a Vampire. Isn't it obvious? I prefer vampires as they are portrayed by Anne Rice. Not necessarily the bit about having moral turmoil... I like that vampires are powerful and sensual.I've always liked the name Daedalus. It comes from Greek mythology and means "clever worker." Daedalus was said to have created the labyrinth that imprisoned the minotaur. In order to help his son Icarus escape the labyrinth, he gives him wings "constructed from feathers and wax." Icarus does not heed his father's warning when he is told not to fly too close to the sun and therefore the sun melts the wax and Icarus falls into the ocean and drowns. I digress. I don't like the name because of the story behind the name; I honestly like the name because of the meaning and the way it sounds. I first heard the name from the anime called Ergo Proxy and I've liked it ever since.
Joon is a Korean name meaning "handsome" or "good-looking." Make of that what you will. I am not Korean but I have a respect and admiration for the culture of South Korea. I do listen to Korean music and watch Korean television shows. My favorite girl group is SNSD.
My hobbies include drawing, watching anime, and playing video games.
I tend to draw whatever peaks my interest so I can't say I stick to one subject. I've been drawing chibi recently due to requests from friends. Medium of choice is pencil.
I've seen so many anime; I'll just name the two that I've recently seen. I've been keeping up with Naruto Shippuden; I watch it as soon as it comes out online.
My recent favorite was Sword Art Online. Kirito is badass. When I RP, I tend to try to channel his disposition. Also swords are just badass as a general rule. I have a pretty decent collection of swords in real life. None would help me out if I was to have to defend myself with one of them but I like showing them off nonetheless. If I had the funds, that last statement would definitely change.
The video game I am currently in the process of conquering is a JRPG called Tales of Xillia. My go-to genre is usually JRPGs but I have been known to play racing and fighting games also.
I tend to frequent the word game threads on Gaia. More out of boredom than anything else and because typing out a quick Haiku is cake. Gaia was a big part of my life during my high school days when I was trying to sort out my identity. I feel I have a full grasp of who I am now. I have more responsibilities now as an adult but I feel like I can now handle each task as it comes with a mature and clear perspective.
