Stuff.
New title! Don't worry, I'll still write about my adventures in Pokemon Diamond. However, I will add other stuff as well. ^^
Haruhi's Adventure's in Pokemon Diamond, part 2.
Day 2 - Part 1 - More adventures.

I went to beach south of Sandgem today. It was cold, but I did find an anti-dote, so yay me!
I then headed north towards Jubilife by heading out to route 202.
I met Lucas on Route 202, he showed me how to catch pokemon, something I had already figured out by myself. Silly boy.
But on the plus side, he did give me five additional pokeballs. Score!

Shortly after meeting Lucas I caught a male Shinx. I named it Thundar.
A short while after catching Thundar (the barbarian Shinx, lol), I caught a male Kricketot. For a bug it looks kinda cute, to cute in my opinion. I named it Jiminy. It took two pokeballs to catch though.

I dropped Jiminy off in the Pokemon Storage. I doubt he will be the last pokemon I will leave there.

A little later, after heading back to route 202, I encountered my first human opponent. A young boy named Tristan. His Starly was easily dispatched by my Piplup Aquila and her bubble attack.
I was then challenged by a girl named Natalie, she was even more of a pushover.
Then I met this kid named Logan. You'd think with a name like that he'd be though. Hah, just like the previous two, a pushover. Two bubble attacks by Aquila, and his Shinx went down.

After those three I tripped over a potion, which I picked up before heading into The big City.

Day 2 - Part 2 - Jubilife.

As I entered Jubilife I was ambushed by Lucas, whom insisted that I visit the trainers school. He also wanted to know how many pokemon I had with me, and was suitably impressed by the four I had with me at the time.

I wandered about the city for a while, just talking to people and looking around. I was told a great many things by these people. I was told among other things that pokemon get stronger by fighting, and sometimes evolve. Well duh, couldn't they have told me something I didn't already know?

I ran into Barry in the Trainer's School, and delivered the package his mother had given me to bring him. It contained two town maps. But since Barry only needed one, he gave me the other. Very nice of him, at least he has some manners.
He then ran off towards a town called Oreburgh, something about a gym and becoming the greatest trainer ever. Well, not if I beat him to the title. ^^

I stuck around the school for a while, and fought a couple of the kids. First I beat the crap out of a boy named Harrison. He had an Abra, which was awesome as I had never seen one in the flesh before. Like all previous trainers I'd met, it went down with bubble. Silly thing kept on trying to teleport. I then fought a girl named Christine, also an owner of an Abra, and like her predecessors pokemon, it suffered from the "trying to escape with nowhere to go" syndrome, and went down without much of a fight. Except that it knew hidden power, and that hurt. I still beat it easily though. Both where impressed by my power and gave me a Technical Machine (or TM for short). The TM in question was the one designated as TM10, also known as Hidden Power. This might come in handy. I thanked them and went on my way.

I then ran into the owner of the pokétch company, he said he'd give me a pokëtch for free if I managed to find three clowns and obtain a coupon from each. They would be hidden throughout the city. That sounded like a fun challenge, so I went to look for them. Finding the clowns took all of five minutes, but during my search I came across a woman that gave me a Quick Claw. Score!

Once I had the last coupon in hand, I ran back to the pokëtch company owner, and he handed me the promised item. It only had a grand total of four functions to start with, but he assured me that more would become available with time, and that I should check back to the company regularly to get more. So basically he gave me a free useful item and he will continue to upgrade it for free. Very nice deal indeed.

I decided to check out the route west of Jubilife before moving on to Oreburg, while passing through the route gate, I met a fisherman who gave me his old rod. Score! More free items!
I tested out the rod in the waters on the western route out of Jubilife, and ended up catching a Magikarp. It is a pretty worthless pokemon, but hey, it's one more entry in my dex. I named the male Magikarp Morg.

Passing through Jubilife again, I dropped off the Magikarp in the storage unit, then I headed north.

Day 2 - Part 3 - Enter Route 204.

I didn't get far into Route 204 before getting challenged by a girl named Sarah. She was in for a nasty surprise when she met Aquila, which proceeded to make mince meat out of her Bidoof. It didn't even manage to hit my Piplup once. After beating her, she told me that my progress towards the north was prevented by large blocks in the nearby cave, and that I needed a special Hidden Move (a.k.a. a HM) called Rock Break to progress.

I decided to proceed with investigating the parts of the route I could enter before progressing however...The route has multiple lakes, that I unfortunately do not currently possess the powers to traverse. I had not traveled long before I got challenged by a young boy named Tyler, who was absolutely convinced that his Magikarp could beat my Piplup. Aquila quickly proved him wrong. However, the kid was more cunning that I anticipated, as he also possessed a Starly. That too however was no match for Aquila.

I only encountered one more trainer on the route, a girl named Samantha. She possessed a grass pokemon I had not seen before called a Budew. However, remembering that my Piplup (a water pokemon) was weak against grass, I quickly recalled Aquila and sent in my Starly Windstorm in her place. Windstorm then proceeded to turn the poor Budew into salad.

Since there was nothing else to do on route 204 at this time, I decided to return to Jubilife, and then head east.

Day 2 - Part 4 - On the Road to Oreburg.

I hadn't gotten far out of Jubilife before I got ambushed and challenged by Barry. Boy was he in for a shock, I quickly dispatched his Starly with Aquila, and then I beat his Turtwig with Windshear. Even though the Turtwig put up a good fight against Windstorm, it simply did not stand a chance. The look on his face was priceless.

I then continued onwards through Route 203. I didn't get far before I encountered a flying pokemon I had not encountered yet. A Zubat. Not the worlds most powerful pokemon, but I decided to try an catch one anyway. Unfortunately, Aquila was a little to eager, and fainted the first one I encountered. Oh well.
Not long after, I tripped over a pokeball that someone had dropped. Since there is no sense in wasting a perfectly good pokeball, I kept it.

A short while later I encountered a trainer, a boy named Michael. His Bidoof got owned in one hit, and his Zubat did not last much longer than that either. i didn't have to progress far after that before getting challenged by another kid, also a boy, but this time named Dallas. His Kricketot however, was not match for Aquila.

It was on route 203 I came to the realization that I. Hate. Bidoof. They are ******** everywhere! Gah! Still, it does have it's uses.

Anyway, as I moved on through the route I was challenged by a girl named Kaitlin. Who of course started by throwing out a Bidoof. But like all previous Bidoofes I had met, it fell fast and hard. She then continued with a Budew. Which I shredded with Windstorm, who was starting to get a wee bit unruly, but not to the extent that it was uncontrollable, yet. Her final pokemon was a Starly, which I met with Thundar! ... I really should have put a ! at the end of his name... Anyway, the Starly went down fast as well, two hits and it was gone.

After defeating Kaitlin, I went onwards towards Oreburg Gate, a short natural tunnel that runs between Route 203 and Oreburg. However, before entering I had one last obstacle, a boy named Sebastian. He also had a pokemon I had not encountered before, a humanoid pokemon called a Machop. But it to bowed down before the might of Aquila! His sister then challenged me, her name was Madeline, and she claimed to have beaten the Oreburg gym, but considering how weak her two pokemon, a Starly and a Bidoof (******** Bidoof again! Gah!) were, I highly doubt it.

I then headed into the Gate. I didn't get far through the tunnel before I was intercepted by a mountaineer. He never told me his name, but he was a friendly sort, and gifted me the HM06 Rock Smash. He also told me that I needed the badge from the Oreburg gym to be able to use the badge, and armed with that information, I continued onwards.

Shortly after meeting the mountaineer, I encountered a cave camper named Curtis, who decided to lead with a Shinx. It got it's tail handed to it by Aquila. Shortly afterward I met a female camper named Diana, she led with a Budew, which ended up facing the wrath of Windstorm. After the Budew went down, she threw another previously unseen by me pokemon into the ring, a Psyduck! The Psyduck however, got to face Thundar! Whom proceeded to mop the floor with the duck.

After the battle with the Psyduck, I was finally at the entrance to Oreburg!

Day 2 - Part 5 - Oreburg City.

I encountered Berry outside of the gym. He informed me before rushing off as he always did, that the gym leader had gone to the mine. So off to the mine I went, after a short stop at the local pokecenter to refresh my pokemon.

i won't bother you with the details of the mines, as they are mostly boring, but suffice to say battles where fought and won (Easily I might add, Aquila's bubble attack came quite in handy down there), I found the gym leader and he returned to the gym, and that's about it. Well, there was one major item of interest. Suddenly, shortly after meeting the Gym Leader, Aquila started to evolve. Before long she had turned into a Prinplup. Awesome!

Now for the Gym! The gym turned out to be a pushover. Aquila tore through the place like a tornado. The first trainer, a boy named Jonathon, threw in a Geodude, which, not surprisingly, went down in one hit. The next trainer, also a boy, this time named Darius, also threw in a Geodude, which unsurprisingly went down in one hit, he then threw in a second pokemon, an Onix. The Onix died to two metal claws. I could probably have taken it down with one Bubble attack, but I wanted to see Metal Claw in action.

Finally it was time for the gym leader. He started by throwing out a Geodude, which of course went down in one hit. His second pokemon ate bubbles, and went down in one hit. Then for the grand finale he threw in something very few people have seen, the revived fossil pokemon known as Cranidos, not that it helped him at all. Like the previous pokemon it ate bubbles and went down, but it needed several hits. Mostly because he healed it. But down it went and I was victorious! Now possessing the coal badge, I can use the HM06 outside of battle to break apart some rocks that block my path. He then proceeded to hand me a TM as well, specifically TM76, a.k.a. Stealth Rock. I am sure it will come in handy eventually...
