Surfing has become one of the very most popular holiday pursuits


This is a great thing as there is no better way of getting fit than spending a few hours surfing in choppy seas.


Of course you cannot surf simply anywhere and you also need to find an excellent beach with excellent waves - there are a few destinations that are particularly just the thing for this sport.


Australia could be the mecca of surfing so its along with my list. This owes to its great waves and its particular proximity to Australia, a nation of obsessive surfers.
