The Red Book
A sea of faceless people cheered and as they did, their voices echoed off the walls of the relatively large space in a way that could either be described as deafening, exhilarating, or both depending on your personal preferences. As for Leo, who had never shied away from being the center of attention, the sound could only be described as addicting. He loved the way it sounded with his music and he loved the way it seemed to fill all the spaces of the room so that nothing was left untouched by it.

A loud crowd meant a successful show and tonight was no different as the concert he'd been performing neared its end. In fact, it was so loud as Leo neared the end of his last song that you could hardly hear him but rather than attempt to quiet it at all, Leo moved to the edge of the stand to brush fingertips with the people desperately waving their hands out in hopes of making contact with him in a way that he knew would make the cheering louder.

Except it didn't. Leo blinked and suddenly the crowd was gone. He wasn't performing at a concert at all. Instead, he was sitting in a room with only one other person. The lights were nearly as bright as they'd been before but rather than a roaring crowd, the only sound that could be heard was the rumbling of a fan.

Leo blinked rapidly, shocked at the sudden change in scenery, before turning to look at the only other person in the room with him. She was staring at him expectantly like she was waiting for him to say something but Leo couldn't recall what it was that she had asked of him. "What did you say?" He inquired, frowning a little at the way his voice cracked in the middle of his sentence.

She frowned a little as well but hers was driven by concern rather than confusion. Leo thought he should apologize for causing it but the look was quickly replaced by a smile before he could do so. "I said," she repeated gently, "In light of recent events, do you plan on canceling your tour? Nobody could blame you after the attack-"

The attack. That's right. That's why he was here. He was doing an interview to let the public know he was fine and that his fans didn't need to worry about him. "Right," he agreed, offering a small but grateful smile, "Sorry about that."

Leo reached up and raked his fingers through his blonde hair- a soothing mechanism he'd started only recently that he now did whenever he was starting to feel anxious- before reaching out to grab the glass of water he had waiting for him on a little table nearby. While he wasn't exactly thirsty, it did give him a little longer to pull together his thoughts.

"While I appreciate your concern," he replied finally, "No, I won't be canceling." Thanks to a pretty strict contract he was under, it hadn't been possible to cancel the tour even if he'd wanted to but he certainly wasn't about to tell the reporter that.

The woman said something in response but Leo wasn't listening anymore. Instead, he found himself scanning the room, looking for a particular bodyguard he knew would be standing off to the side just out of view of the cameras. He'd always had at least one body guard for just in case but ever since the attack the amount he had with him at all times had increased. Leo knew it was for his own safety but he still wasn't sure how he felt about being followed by a group of strangers at all times. At least one of them was more recognizable than the rest.
