Ares ignored Aphrodite's words and walked further into her rooms, making her way towards the bedchambers - where she knew Aphrodite was. Two gods were scrambling around the bed, trying to cover themselves and put their clothing back on, while Aphrodite tossed them their belongings from her place on the bed; barely covered herself.
Ares recognized the two gods - not from Olympus - and glared at the pair until they looked up. Baldr and Freyr, of all the gods, were the first to realize that there was another individual in the room. Both gods froze - still not fully clothed but covered enough for decency's sake - and stared at Ares for a moment. It was Aphrodite that broke the tense silence.
"I take it that you aren't here to join us, then." Aphrodite - beautiful, charming, seductive Aphrodite - was already giving Ares a headache and she made sure the younger goddess knew by the look she sent her way.
"Get out." It was directed to the gods of Asgard and Alfheimr. Both were quick to obey.
Baldr had made it out of the chambers first - still fitting his armor back together - while Freyr paused just outside the threshold to look back at Ares, an odd look on his usually cheerful face. "I heard of the ruling, Princess," Ares hated to be called that, but knew it was inevitable in certain situations and circumstances. "I wish for you to know that several others, outside of myself, had taken your side in this matter. We could attend your hearing but we had no sway on the ruling, I'm afraid, because of not being from Olympus."
Ares watched him for a moment, took in the way he stood tall and straight as he spoke, and slowly nodded her head; accepting the words as truth. "I thank you for that, as little as it meant in the end."
Freyr nodded, knowing a dismissal when he was given one, and left the room; pulling his cape over his shoulder as he left their view, leaving Ares and Aphrodite alone in the room; just as Ares had wanted in the first place. "Did you bring them back here after the hearing, Aphrodite?" Ares glanced over at the fellow goddess and rose an eyebrow. "Need comfort that desperately?"
"They offered, I'll have you know," Aphrodite sniffed as she turned her head to the side and held her bed sheets to her chest, as if keeping her modesty. "I was distraught at the terms of your punishment." Aphrodite relaxed then, releasing the sheets and standing to her feet; not bothered by Ares' presence as others would have been in such a defenseless position.
She trusted Ares and knew that she would not hurt her without cause, should such a happening ever occur.

Quote:
When warriors - when fighters - become nothing more than shadows and dust, life will cease to be. No one will fight for the life they are given or the lives they are given charge over. That, Loki, is why I exist. I ensure that each and every individual with life has the will to fight for it - and for the lives around him or her. Now tell me, Trickster, why are you here? What purpose do you have in these worlds?
