Adventure Time Fanfiction Part 2: Dream Diary
Synopsis: Finn and Jake found a book entitled Dream Diary and they explore the flashbacks of May and also about the “wish” that was granted to her.
Storyline:
It was night and May, Finn and Jake are having a sleep over. They’re currently talking about past events of their lives. They’re in a room in May’s house that is for guests. It has three beds and a window with the glimpse of the moon. The first one who talked about their past events is May. Finn and Jake were listening quietly to her. “One time when I took refuge in a Zen Garden, I met a person there that grants wishes. Man he was so cool!” Finn asked her a question. “What wish did he grant you?” May became quiet when Finn asked her that. “Well, it’s sort of a long story, but it has to do with facing fears and stuff.” “Oh. Was it painful?” May took out a marshmallow and ate it. “Painful is an understatement. It’s more like terrifying.” Jake was eating marshmallows and sips on hot chocolate. “You do know that my original age would be like 18 instead of 14?” Both of them became surprised for the third time. “Yes it’s true. I used to be immortal due to a contract as a dimensional traveler. But as my contract is finished, time runs again on me. I began growing up. But I still have the ability to travel through dimensions.” “That’s really awesome though. “ “You can say that again Homie.” May yawned and her eyes became a bit heavy. “Well guys. I’ll sleep now.” “Okay May.” May stood up and tucked herself into the bed and falls asleep immediately. “Wow she got tired already.” “Finn I sensed something a bit weird in this room.” “I see.” “I’m going to find that thing.” “Sure Jake. Just don’t mess some stuff.” “Okay.” Finn lied down on the bed and Jake snoops around for that thing he sensed. He found it and it’s a book called Dream Diary. It was found in a drawer. “Finn I found it!” “Let me see!” A pink book that Jake found caught Finn’s eyes and the title of the book is Dream Diary. “This book is interesting.” Finn opened the book and a description was written behind the cover. “If you write a name of a person, you’ll conquer the dreams of the person’s name when you sleep.” “Finn I’m kind of curious about what May said. The “wish” thing.” “Let’s just find out.” Finn wrote May’s name on the first page and both of them went to sleep. “I feel suddenly tired Jake…” “Same here….Homie.”
Both of them fell asleep. As both of them opened their eyes, they were no longer in May’s House. They’re currently on a place where there were stars. As they looked to the right, they saw May. May wears a white dress and wings were behind her back. “Eh? So that book wasn’t a trap?!” “We’re in her dream now Finn. She can’t see us either.” As Finn passes his hand on her, it passed through. “ I guess you’re right.” They heard may talk. “This is gonna be a bit bumpy..Good luck for me since this is the last world I traveled to. I’ve traveled to thirty-nine worlds. I hope this one is easy!” Finn and Jake shivered and hugged each other tight. “Hold on tight Buddy!!!” “I will!!!” A passageway with a light is up ahead and the three of them closed their eyes and went through it. As they passed through it and eyes opened, they saw an unusual garden that has pink trees, foxes that are blue and more. The three of them landed on the ground. “Jake, where are we?” “I have no idea!” “This might have a connection to our conversation with May. She mentioned about this place. So this must be the Zen Garden.” May looked around and was astonished at this very place. “It’s so pretty here! But, is there even a person here besides me?” “Finn and Jake just became quiet and as both of them looked in the air, a guy riding on the cloud spotted the little girl and landed in front of her. The young man has black hair and blue eyes. He wears a long outfit.
“So you must be the dimensional traveler?” May bowed in front of him with her hands on her skirt as a sign of respect. “Hello there.” “What seems to be your name, little lady?” “It’s May.” “Nice to meet you, my name is Deus. I’m the person that grants wishes.” May’s eyes became curious. “I have a wish that I want to grant.” “Hmm, well I’ll let you rest first, is that okay May?” “Yes Mr. Deus.” Deus let out his hand to her and she holds it. They took a stroll until they went to Deus’ house. Finn and Jake were still following them. “This place is calming dude.” “Mhmm it is.” The four of them reached the wish granter’s house and offered some tea and snacks for May. “That looks tasty Finn!” “Too bad we can’t eat it homie. This is all a dream.” As Deus offered her snacks, he sat down, facing her. “Eat as much as you like, little lady.” “Thank you Mr. Deus.” Deus gave her a smile. “So what wish do you want me to grant?” May’s head faced down and thought for a while. She faced him again with a determined face. “I wish that I gain memories of my real parents.” Finn and Jake became shocked after they heard her wish. “Oh okay, little lady. I won’t ask any payment like the others.” “Thank you.” Deus puts his hand on her forehead and he passed through her mind. “May and Deus opened their eyes. “Where are we?” “We’re in your mind.” “It’s dark.” “It won’t be when I’m here.” Deus chanted and memories pop out of nowhere. All of them are everywhere. Finn and Jake were scared about it and hugged each other. As Deus finished chanting, the memories of her parents were in an orb. He took hold of it and gave it to May. “Just hold onto it.” “Yes sir.” She took hold of it and saw everything. Her parents died and she was the only one saved. As she saw it, tears from her eyes fell down. “Mom…Dad…Why?” The orb disappeared and she knelt down to her knees crying.” Finn and Jake were behind them…being sad. “This is quite depressing.” “You can….say that again.” “No wonder she didn’t talk about that wish much..” “It’s depressing..” As Deus took a step near her and crouched down, he hugged her and he went out of her mind. “Your wish is granted.” Deus handed her a handkerchief and she wiped her tears. “Thank you so much.” She smiled at him. “Here’s something for you.” Deus gave her a book titled “Dream Diary and everything froze.
“What the zip? It stopped?” As Jake went near the book and poked it, they woke up. It was almost morning. As they hurriedly got up and checked the book, May’s name on the book disappeared. “So that was it?” “That was pretty weird. I felt like we got manipulated by King Worm.” “Yup.” As May started to wake up, Finn and Jake stepped away from the book. May woke up and stretched her whole body. As she got up her bed, she saw Finn and Jake talking. “Wow you guys are early.” Finn and Jake looked at her. “Morning May.” “Morning.” The three of them smiled. “Okay Finn and Jake. Let’s make bacon pancakes!” Finn and Jake did a high five. “All right Jake!” “Hehe We’ll help you out with the cooking.” “Okay then both of you. Let’s cook!” “Yeah!” As they started preparing the ingredients and cooking the pancakes, the book that has May’s name on it, closed itself, showing the title “Dream Diary”.
