All I can about last nights Indians-Sox matchup... YUCK!!!!
I was one of the few in Boston not to applaud the Gagne trade that the "experts" thought was so keen of Theo Epstein. I call it a bit of Boras manuevering - but hey, who ever thought he could be THIS bad?
And where is JC Romero when you need him? On philly? Oops. I used to love Lopez, until they made the stupid decision to keep them as their only "lefty-specialist." OOPS! Terry at least has known better most of the time. I really don't blame him at all for the loss. He was out of pitchers, really.
Don't get me started on Lester. He's a piece of the Santana or Sabathia trade in the offseason. (the former is preferable, but as long as Sabathia doesn't have too many of those stinkers like ALCS game one, you got yourself ace # 3) But last night, definetly not his fault. The game was already over.
Daisuke should be OK come Monday night in Cleveland. We'll see. He didn't do too well when he faced them in May. I forget if he had another start against them since - somebody said it was in the 1-0 loss to Carmona, but I'm not sure.
He'd better do well, unless you want the Indians to go for their first championship since 1948. And if the Sox lose, I will root for them. Sorry, Rockies. But I liked the Indians first - before I became a die-hard Sox fan, I liked them better. Well, other than Pedro, Trot, and Dauber, there wasn't much else I liked about Boston. Well, Nomar, but did he win the Sox the world series? no. Still, I'd take about anyone over Drew... I'm rambling, I'm pissed... I'm done til Monday.
