My Hope, My Fear

they say I'm a nice guy
they say I'm a sweet guy
they sat I'm a handsome guy

but who care what they say
I care about what She says
I care about what She thinks
how She sees Me is My most frequent thought

today, I almost told Her
but they say that these things are best done in person
so I wait for My next opportunity
the next time I can tell Her

Her smile, Her eyes, Her personality
I've become infatuated with Her
and for years I've stood back insuring She knows not how I feel

I fear to tell Her for the well being of My heart
I fear Her most likely reply
I fear Our friendship will perish
yet I still plan to tell Her...
