My incredible wisdom of the day.
The Prince's Tomb (Possible Future Story)
Poetry strait from the grave, echos in prince's tomb
his golden hair no longer shines, roses no longer bloom
there was a time so long ago, when his kingdom was great
when he had love, and he had fame, and he cared not for fate
but now his castle lies in dust, his crown is cracked and sold
his followers have aged and left, his new home is so cold

his princess who has since moved on, no longer fancies gowns
and trusty blade, still by his side, guarding his spirit's ground
in the end he lies alone, no flowers mark his grave
his final days were spent in thought, wishing he were a slave
now he lies among the dead, awaiting his demise
no longer can he feel his limbs, no longer does he cry

the weight of earth bore down on him, it was too much to bare
and no one else would lift a hand, to show him any care
his palace was deserted and his servants were not seen
cobwebs formed without the maids and no one came to clean
he just would sit, fading away, atop a tarnished throne
his gaze afixed to ceiling's shade, watching the crumbling stone

the pain of life had stolen breath, he could not win it back
even the guards had left the town, in fear of an attack
the chapel cross had fallen down, god cared no more for him
no longer did the preacher come, or halls were filled with hymns
even the darkness seemed to leave, his vision was of grey
the gates and doors would turn to rot, the halls smelled of decay

unsure of what to do at last, he sat there through the nights
as flesh grew thin, left only bones, and bleached them pearly white
his sightless eyes watched as the walls crumbled down to the floor
his ears covered by silver hair, could never hear the roar
the test of time devoured him, he could not pass its test
and so the stones devoured him, laying him to his rest

the light had left his glistening eyes so long before this time
his mind had paralized his soul with visions of his crimes
once even his bones turned to dust, his crown bent and abused
he had no more, his life was gone, his soul suffered disuse
and so the rocks crumbled away, no light inside was shone
abandoned by his kingdom, the ex-prince dies alone
