I stood there watching as snow fought with Amber, quite amused as I did so. I knew Snow was going to win this. She would let Amber get in a few attacks, then take her down. That was just how I remember her fighting when I trained with her when I was young. I'm really starting to remember things about her... I thought softly. I then smirked as I saw those Chains of ice. I looked over at Demon who was examining Snows style with those critical eyes he does when he sets me up with the Shadow blades. He nodded, seeming to think she was going to fail against Amber. I watched as Snow whispered something that ticked Amber off. Snow walked over to me and released her magic on Amber before catching me by surprise. For a moment I thought she was about to kiss me and she kissed me on the cheek. She surprised when when She whispered about our differences in strength and then walked off. I could tell she was tired. She had blood on her arm and leg. it's obvious she didn't expect a fight today by the way she dressed. Jeans are hard to fight in. I would know. I sighed softly as I watched her walk away. demon nudged me with a cheeky smirk on his face. "Cut that smirk Demon." I said as I glanced over to see Amber likely imagining Snow dying a thousand painful deaths. There wasn't an injury on her. Even those burns had healed. Notnthat they were even considered a s.cratch. Snow had avoided injuring Amber except when necessary it seems. I smiled. Snow was still soft, even when she had every right to injure it seemed. At least this time around. I think it was time to show her the Forest.
The next morning I woke up in a good mood. I sat up and stretched then looked over. I jumped up as I saw Amber asleep in my bed. "What the hell??" I shouted. Both Snow and Demon walked in as I yelled. Amber sat up grinning at Snow and Snow just rolled her eyes. her eyes widen as she realized she was in an oversized t-Shirt in front of everyone and ran back to her room, causing me to have to hide my laughter. I glared at Amber "Get out of my bed Amber..." I told her, obviously annoyed. She shrugged and stood up, walking out with that sway she always added to her walk. It annoyed me how she threw herself around. I smirked as I thought of Snow running out because she was wearing a t-shirt to sleep in.
I got dressed and walked over to her door. As I was about to knock on her door, she opened it and rammed into me, blushing lightly as I caught her. I smiled down at her and let her step back slightly. "I have somewhere I want to show you.." I told her. She smlied at me and nodded "Ok.." She replied. I took her hand and flashed us to somewhere Only Demon and I knew of, Crystalline Forest. I watched as her jaw dropped. I had my arms around her, standing on the thickest branch of one of the trees. "Jace..." She whispered "Everything here is made of crystal..." She looked up at me. I smiled and helped her walk along the branch, keeping her close so she doesn't fall. I led her along to the center of the tree, which Demon and Imhad carved out. This tree was the center of the forest, and the largest. it was around 10ft across. We had inserted a small bed in to it so we could stay here at night if we wanted to. I led her into the small room "This is where I stay when I come here." I told her. As she walked back out on to the branch, in awe of the light that refracted off the crystal trees that spread out for miles before her. I walked up behind her "What do you think?" I whispered in her ear, startling her. She stepped forward and her foot slipped off the edg of the branch. I grabbed her around her waist and pulled her against me so she wouldn't fall. "You're so clumsy.." I whispered as I looked down at her. I smiled as I felt the warmth of her being near me and then did something I hadn't expected myself to do so suddenly. I leaned down and gave her a small kiss on the lips, an old spark inside me reigniting as I remembered a lot more about my past. She stared up at me, blushing extremely after i pulled back and I smiled at her. "Careful, you're blushing. You might melt." I teased her, causing her to blush even brighter as she held on to me, still near the edge of the branch. I pulled her away from the edge but I maintained my hold around her waist. She finally relaxed against me and stood there quietly before whispering "Thank you Jace..." I gave her a confused look as I looked down at her. "For what?" I asked. "For saving me from falling. And for that kiss." She smiled up at me, no longer blushing as bad. I laughed softly and tucked her hair behind her ear. "I think this is my favorite place now." She told me softly as she looked around. Snow then looked back at me "When does the sun set here?" She asked me. "That'll be in a few hours since you slept in this morning." "Oh." She murmured. I laughed at her expression and finally let her go. Damn...I'm getting soft... I thought as I watched her walking along the branch curiously. I shook my head as I watched. Demon will hold this against me forever...but I can't stop now...it's a little late unless I want to hurt her...even now Im soft. I sighed silently as I thought about all this. I then walked over and scooped her up, startling her as I stepped off the branch and dropped, snapping my wings out and gliding to the forest floor. As I sat her down, she glared at me. That's better. I thought as I smirked. She rolled her eyes and just shook her head, continuing to explore.
Time seemed to fly as I guided her around the forest. she was intrigued by the trees. I explained how Demon and I were sparring and two spells mixed creating a ball of flame that was consistent with a star. When the flame exploded it crystallized the entire forest. she laughed softly "Thats so strange." She told me. "It seems all these years have been quite nice for you." She stated. "I wouldn't put it that far. demon is Demon after all. The training was and is vigorous and at times I ended up unable to move for days on end. But I had to get up and train again the moment I was able. It's thanks to Demon I'm as strong as I am though." I told her as we walked along. I smiled as I looked around, orange and pink and red and violet was starting to refrect through the trees, sparkling miraculously. Snow stopped and stared as the trees seemed to shine around us, the light bouncing around in her eyes. I smiled as she leaned against me, and I then humores her by wrapping my arms around her waist from behind and laying my head on top of hers. She laughed softly as she stood there watching the sun setting. it was always this beautiful at sunset here but it seemed different when there was someone else besides me to enjoy it.
As the sun sank behind the horizon, I took her up,to the tree again. I sat her on the bed and pulled out some blankets. she laughed "Are we sleeping here??" She asked. I nodded with a smile and she rolled her eyes. "Alright. You're facing that way though." And she pointed at the opposite wall. I rolled my eyes and pulled her close one last time and gve her a small peck on the lips. I guess I'll have time to do this again. Hopefully. I thought as I let her go and she crawled into bed. I pulled up a chair and fell asleep in it instantly.
