This was risky, the kind of risky that will have them all killed if they slip up. Thais
stood with her back to the cool brick of the outside wall. She was doing her job and
was patroling the town that surrounded the Council building. Her finger tips were
fingering the chain of her sythe that rested on her shoulder. The black metal blade
sharper than a razor, jagged point that caused major bleeding that was
unmendable once peirced with. The skinny shaft and heavy chain making it easy to
use in long range fitting as well as close combat.
Tonight was the night. She finally get away from Father and the damned Council
that did nothing but sit high on a thrown while servants did the dirty work. Thais
remembered the old days when the Head hadn't shown any emotions. She was
just another child that was supposed to serve the council. Then she found out she
was the daughter of the Head and that she was to be specially trained. At first even
the news that she was his daughter didn't seem to be a big deal, lots of Council
members had illegitiment children with past mistresses. This was no different in her
young mind, but then as her "father" noticed her more, noticing whom she
resembled was not just some mistress in the night. She was the child of the woman
he had once been madly in love with. The woman who had died hating him
because he chose the Council over her. A woman that was pregnant with his first
child. Soon it had started to get worse, she was often punished for minor mishaps
and was made the Reaper, a loathed possition and they were hated amongst
towns people.
