I suppose a decent place to start is where I got my name. I'm not Japanese, and I'm certainly not a weeaboo, so how did I wind up with a name like Ryu Shikaze?
Our story starts from about when I was eight, and learned the meaning of the word Ryu. Blame Street Fighter's manual and my cleverness for being able to discern that Ryu meant dragon. After that, knowing that Dragons were symbols of power and wisdom, I chose this as my name. Kaze came, naturally, from Kamikaze, divine wind, and Shi... well, Shi is special. Because with a different kanji, Shi can mean either the number four or death, the Shi, as opposed to Ryu or Kaze, has two spellings. Normally, I use the Kanji for Four, making me a Dragon, or powerful natural force of strength and wisdom- of the four winds. However, I occasionally switch over to the Death Shi, and make myself a Dragon of the Wind of Death.
If I feel ambiguous, or feel like appearing as such, I spell Shi with its hiragana. I am usually feeling this way.
And this has been the Dragon's Addendum for the day. Hope you enjoyed your brief peak inside my head. The scars will heal in time.
