Okay well we had to do this essay that's 5 paragraphs..Read it D: I read it to my friend Arianna and she thought that my writing is so professional..xD

In the past, TV has been said to have little educational value. Today, however, there are shows that help a child educationally. Although some shows are not educational many are, especially for younger children.

Have you seen what young children these days watch on TV? They watch channels like Nick and PBS Kids and shows such as Dora the Exporer and Teletubbies. But have you ever looked closer at these shows? They teach Spanish, math, and how to tell things apart. However, sometimes the TV says something that is incorrect. When children are young they need to learn well as what they learn then are the building blocks of later. At the younger ages children learn easier and faster. Children learn alot from television that effects the rest of their lives.

Almost all shows have something of educational value in them, just some are hidden more and some are more aparent. An estimated 80% of all shows in English are somewhat educational. But what about the shows that my child does not learn from? A few non-educational shows will not weaken a child- they will help him or her. A child's brain can only take so much in at one time and those other shows help the child to recover. So many shows help children at school and in life yet the few that don't still do.

When children and parents watch TV what do they gain? Quality time, of course! Parents always complain that the relationship between parent and child is not as they want it be and some TV time can help that. Alas, quality time does not always work but drives parent and child apart. The quality time not only makes the relationship better- it teaches a child how to make friends, be kind, share, and do all the other things neccesary in life. A childs rolemodel could be their parent instead of a model or actor. When a parent is not a friend to a child, who is?

We are all capable of many great things and to reach our potential easier to have an educational childhood. Today's children are tommorow's leader so as parents you should help us become the leaders of tommorow. No longer is television a picture in a box- it's humaity's future.
