Most of you know that I'm busy... But busy with what currently?
Well... I have a project which most of you know that deals with 'The Last Mimzy'. Yes that is the movie that Gaia is sponsering or whatever.
If your wondering why I'm creating this journal entry that is because I need help. I know I don't accept pity and all often and I don't like to trouble others though my group isn't working very well with me together. So I really need your help.
Now let me give you some info about my team and what we're doing.
This project is based on the common debate question; "Which is superior technology or mankind?" Right now my and my team are focusing on Mankind since we all know mankind is superior right? Now this is from the people of The Last Mimzy because the children of this movie gets things from the future that increases their minds. But it's technology that did that. We are mainly dealing with the thoughts of technology in the past, present, and future.
My reward; I get a free screening of The Last Mimzy before the general public. And then if I win of my school then it's a suprise I think.
Okay on to My Teamates;
My Team
Miriam; The funny one of the group that is extremely smart on the inside. She is very kind yet she rather make jokes than do this project.
Her debating skills are 7/10. She provides 2/10 of the ideas.
Dylan; The one that's always goofing off. He can never stay in one place. He is the dumb yet has a good comeback one in this team.
His debating skills are 7/10. He provides .5/10 of the ideas
JC; The same as Dylan though he is very popular with the girls at my school. Very sporty and all. He doesn't goof around as much as Dylan yet his debating skills are horrible.
His debating skills are 4/10 and he provides .5/10 of the ideas
Kelsey; Not much about her... She just gets the materials mainly.

Luke; Smartass... Nothing more to say. Well he is very childish but at the same time probably thinking up a amazing plan to take us to victory.

So those are the people I'm working with. Now to our ideas and what we have gotten;
Ideas
As it said in the synopsis of ‘The Last Mimzy’ it says; ‘When the little girl says that Mimzy contains a most serious message from the future’ ‘Millions of year in the future, a scientist belonging to a post human-race builds 2 time machines. At the last minute he realizes he needs test matter to go inside them, so he fills them with the nearest things at hand; his grown son’s discarded toys’, with those 2 sentences it seems as if mankind is in danger. It also seems that mankind’s mind and mankind’s technology has evolved into this new kind of race.
Everyone on the Earth contributes some type of knowledge of some sort. With that knowledge combined we are far more superior to technology. As you know technology knows only what mankind has taught it. If we don’t teach it, it will never learn because it doesn’t have the skill that mankind has to doing things as it picks up the things we do and remembers it.
As long as mankind made it we can destroy it. There has to have an off switch to everything we make. For example Computers, we can use a magnet since that pulls all the metal parts closer and then it all gets mixed up and can’t go back to their original place to function. There is always a way to destroy what we’ve made.
As they said in the trailer, “We are eons away from making artificial life.” With that phrase it seems if humans are more complicated than technology. We humans have life and technology doesn’t. We humans also have emotions and feelings while technology is so plain and unresponsive. We can see our surrounds and react to them and we can also communicate showing the way we feel using our emotions. Yet emotions get in our way of doing things but that’s what makes us so unique.
Without mankind technology would never existed beside us. We were the originals, not technology. Technology is just a way of getting around our daily life and not life. We can get around without it. Technology just makes it simpler for us. We can live perfectly fine without it.
Have you heard that technology can react to brain cells and nerve? Using technology to replace the average arm and other body parts. I bet you’ve heard about it. IF technology can rise higher and higher we may not have a chance at this but we are the creators and can prevent this. I’ve also heard that technology is starting to mimic the average human. If that happens we will have even less.

First day;
Yes I seriously have a project that has to deal with it. My teacher said she got a letter from someone that said like my school has been choosen to debate on the question; Which is more superior; Mankind or Technology. Of couse I choose Mankind. Well before I found out that my school was going to do this I found out another debate questions about this;
Q. Are babies considered Humans just because of how they think?
O/A. Well we can't just say that we aren't considered our own species just because of our way of thinking. Though it's true when we are children we have a whole new perceptive(I can't spell) of the world. We didn't know much we couldn't understand that much. I guess the best way of saying this is that human babies are like technology in a way. We can record and analyze to what we know.
Okay now I am stuck with a project about something that I seriously don't want to do and only for the extra credit. Anyways I will report back about the movie and send pictures once I see it. I will probably get complimentary items or something. Like t-shirts and all. I will sell it on e-bay most likely.

Luke's mom came to talk to us about it. She says that we need some fact or something to back us up. Currently I am too busy to worry about this. We have decided to do a game show thing for our presentation. I have a whole book report due in 3 weeks. I hate being like this. I only have a week left and I have to write a script. I have to do everything around here.
