I wish you could know that it's your name I sigh as I swallow my tears and suffer a lovers' death.
Your face I see so many times as I try in quiet desperation not to dream of it.
My only hope left is that the next time that precious name passes between these lips, it will be naught but cool breath; not such a stale prayer as would be uttered by a mad-man.
All this goes on, I hiding the truth within itself, lies within the light--you watching shadows pass from behind me. Shadow upon shadow upon itself, trailing from beneath my eyelids, back into my mind, down past the fingers that touch the air

Sweet words seen only by the blind...
The very fragrance unscented by those other than the numb,
lost in their apathetic world where cares such as mine are non-existant,
floating feelings, passing these lips as a prayer, breaking the Holy Man's promise of redemption.
All can be summed up in that kiss not yet forgotten, though not yet remembered
Slow words in tune with the sway of the heart, with the demon's laughter that follows your face, trailing behind my eyelids
Your voice, chasing away my sanity, scaring away my demons.
More maddening with each passing moment...
I call out to my demons much as I would sigh that name.
Come, I say to them, chase away Your face, chase away Your voice, pry open the lid of stone, let free the fluttering spirit.
No more shall you trail my slumber.
Demons, do come, devour this prayer, wrung of it's beauty though it is by the very staleness of it's existance.
Demons do come....
