I walk down this dark, wet, empty road.
My foot steps echo into the bleak sky.
The trees are bare with their hands up towards God.
I continue my little journey alone and sadden.
The winds picks up and swirls the saturated leaves.
The world around me drips and collects in a giant puddle.
The sky opens to cry.
Then the wind lets out a sigh and more droplets of rain fall on me.
Somwhere a sad song plays and someone weeps for their lost loved one.
I walk along.
A black crow flies ahead guiding me on my way.
A tear leaps to the ground from my eyes.
I wonder on into the clouds.
Where they end and I begin, I cannot tell.
To the world I had known I shall part,
into a Heaven of rest,
and I shall sleep.
