Welcome to my space - sorry about the mess
Cancer.
Ok this past week was interesting.

3weeks ago my husband accidently ripped open a mole on his sholder, one week later it sstill wan't healing so he went in and got it removed. The lab tested it and Nov 3 we were told it was cancer. I quietly FREAKED OUT inside the confines of my head. Nov 7th [tuesday] we went in to the sergon to have him evaluate and put things into perspective, turns out of all the cancers he could have had this is the best as far as cure rate and ease of treatment <3 thank goddess! The next day he was in for surgery and it was all taken care of.

Monday I told my boss I was NOT coming in tuesday - Jesse had asked that I go with him.... this is a big deal since most men don't tell you they went to the doctor let alone Ask for you to do with them - it is the whole mocho man thing... never the less this is something that sadded to my worry. I had to call her tuesday afternoon (my boss) to tell her he was having surgery wednesday and again I was not coming in - she submitted to the poliet demand. I worked thursday since he was gong to sleep all day due to his medication. Friday was a holiday and I had off so it was an odd week.

This upcoming tuesday we'll find out the status of his other 4 moles the surgen removed and go from there.

i also posted a comment in your previous journal entry, about quiting your job.

ok, well it's nice that you two seem to be bonding over this at least.

as for the macho thing, guys will do that. but it's good that when he asked for your support you were there. guys have the same emotions as women, the macho-ness just hides it. he was probably just as afraid as any woman would be. but that doesn't mean you have to be particularly afraid for him, as he'd have wanted you there with him whether he'd said so or not, it's just he felt able to ask you, that's all.

it's good that it got treated fast, that must have been a huge relief. in britain we have a free, public health service, which we are very proud of, but the waiting list is months long, which can be very scary.

i guess you just gotta make the best of the situation. i think you have an excellent opportunity here to bond and make changes to your whole life now, and that this can perhaps help give you a new appreciation for things you had never previously considered.

btw, what happened with the pregnancy thing? did it turn out you are pregnant or not?
