I think the creator should put some signs or something alerting that it isn't a part of Gaia, that the layering isn't exact and such and so on...

Compaq has decent laptops, I think. I'm not a tech-knower, but it seems to work for me just fine.

I have a Compaq, works pretty good. My desktop is a Sony Vaio, also works pretty good. razz Methinks I'd go for the Sony.

Though, I've heard Dell isn't a good choice. With the exploding batteries and such in the last year or two.

Har. You know what I hate?

When people say "GO TO TEKTEK" as the answer to virtually any question. stare

Just browsing through. Thought I could help you in your laptop search.

Try not to get a Dell. While they are decent laptops, there are keyloggers built into the machine, and their tech support is not the best when you really need help.

Sony Vaio are nice. The only complants I can have is some of their models have DVD burners which will cease to function after a certain amount of usage. They will burn things, but not correctly.

HP are good for graphic related things. They are more media-focused with easy access to volume control and such. The only complant I have is that they are prone to having their motherboards burnout or crash after 1 year.

Compaqs are the best option. Its not as big of a company, but I don't have any real complants about them as their laptops have not given me any problems.

If you're wondering, I currently have a dell laptop. rofl

all are good lappys except Dell. the fill those things with tons of useless programs, you basicly have to reinstal windows when you get it. and if anything ever goes wrong with it all Dell parts are completely costum there for they charge you a small fortune.

What if it's one of those seizure signs? The ones that flash multiple colors?

They'd probably still miss it but still...xD

Yeah, my brother has had a Compaq laptop for a little over a year now and I really haven't noticed anything bad with it.

Dell Exploding Lappys
Don't get Dell. Haven't you been reading about the exploding laptops that's been happening? And Sony ... I dunno for me I'm anti Sony cause of the lousy batteries.

For laptops ... HP is good.

Fujitsu is long lasting, like my fujitsu laptop only needed 2 major repairs for the past 7 years and still usable unlike my neighbour's Dell which had to be replaced after 3 years.

I'm using an Acer ... it's not bad. Samsung has pretty laptops.

I'm fighting a battle inside me....

Do NOT get a Dell.

I have one and it stopped working within 10 months.
I had to have it go through repairs for a year before it worked again, and it still sucks.
Their customer service is in India and they don't do a god damn thing.

I recommend HP. Those are the other two computers in my house and they work great!

I want the new .Mac, though. It'd work better for music.
...and a war without.

The Dells with exploding batteries? They use Sony batteries in their laptops... >.> I guess Dell is doing something wrong when putting their laptops together. xD

And yes, I always thought why people would point out TekTek.org for just about everything. I mean, even dream avatars, I don't know how many times I've seen people directing the inquirer to TekTek and never include GAvSim. @_@;

Get an ibook G-4 or G-5, my hubby has had one for almost 5 years and it's worked great and it looks real sleek.

I have a new Dell desktop, and it's been working fine so far *crossesfingers* I'm hoping the issues they've been having are with laptops only sweatdrop

I'm waiting to buy a Mac Pro so I can install Windows and Ubuntu on it. xD

I own a Sony Vaio PCG-NV55E/B. It worked great until the monitor died and my warranty expire hence my lack of activity on this site. D:

If you're seriously looking for quality laptop, buy a Sony Vaio. It looks great and works great too with a much simpler keyboard and interface.

Don't buy celeron or pentium, buy a new Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processor so you don't have to curse in two years about apps not working with "old" pentiums. And, minumum 1 GB of RAM expandable to 2GB or more for the future. <3

Yes, all my gear is sponsored by Sony.

Don't you know dear; its all part of Tek's plan to take over the Q&A wink

No, seriously think about it, with all the questions and crap about it the tektek servers would crap out after like... five minutes.

And, I have an HP DV8000 laptop; gig of ram, dual-core 1.6ghz processor, 128 shared graphics memory(which could have been upgraded) and all around a nice lappy.

Though, from what I hear; laptops are being revamped in 07; so I'd just wait six months and get a super duper lappy; with Vista even smile
