I've made a few tightly knit friendships, and I hope to make more, but for the time being, I have what I need, and that's the basic knowledge of how the wheels turn here in Gaia.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say that I know more than most of the citizens here!
But I must play it low-key, or else the government will catch wind of my dastardly deeds, and surely exile my sorry a**!
And there is this gaming area...and it coincidentally has my favorite game to swindle money from. Blackjack.
In fact, I am willing to tell my secrets to whosoever asks politely. It's not too complicated, but most people don't realize the quirks of the game.
But this one dealer -- Russell Ace, I believe was his name -- is one of the sloppiest cheats I've ever encountered. I've seen him try to hide his sleight-of-hand and pull an ace when he needs it most. But I don't complain. I still take all of his table's money in the end.
And then you got Jinx. Beautiful, yet deadly. You'll think you have a winning hand, and BAMM, she draws just what she needs to beat you. Whether it be an ace, or a four of diamonds, she always manages to surprise me. But I always manage to get the best of her.
Nevertheless, I've found myself oddly attracted to this Gambino Casino.
And lastly in today's report, a new occurence has taken shape.
The government has quarantined the entire population to their communities. But we have already overcome the barriers. But that doesn't mean there isn't something fishy going on.
You go to the casino, and Ace, Jinx, and even the Cardbot is missing...nobody is to be found.
After congregating with several fellow Gaians, I decided to peruse the shops of Gaia. But just like the Gambino Casino, nobody is to be found. The shops all locked up, and gated off.
For all of this, I have decided to investigate until further notice.
All I have at the moment is a hunch, and that hunch tells me something BIG is going down.
I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with some answers.
Until then,
Dycedarg Beoulve
