You had been asleep for a week, listening to the wind and the waves in search of the treasure for Captain Barbossa, your ear to the ground, your whole body at ease. You could hear the waves crashing in the west, against land that was miles away, by the sound of the crashes you could tell they were near Tortuga, you were having a sudden urge for a good mug of rum anyway.
“Get up Sea-eye.” You heard someone growl at you. You didn’t feel like opening your eyes, but he said, “ you’re needed on deck.”
“ Keep your britches on I’ll be there in a ‘urry” you say to him getting to your feet and throwing on your black overcoat and hat. What could be so important as to stop her from navigation? Angrily you shove the hat over your blue and brown eyes and walked onto deck, your boots clanking on the hard wood.
“ What exactly is the problem captain?” you ask waking up in your subconscious. You raised your hat enough for Barbossa and him only to see your eyes and he gave a toothy grin as you commandeered an apple from a tray nearby.
“ Ah, Sea-eye, my loyal first mate.” He replied in a way that made you shiver inwardly, “ Got us a few stowaways.”
“ Throw them in the dungeons or send them down to Davy Jones’s Locker for all I care.” You hissed. How simple was it to push a guy over the edge for this guy? Why did he want her to hold his hand for this? You could hear the retorts of the people, two men and a girl, but Barbossa just smiled at you and gave a booming laugh.
“ Oh no lass you might wanna look at these three before you make ‘em jump.” Barbossa replied motioning towards the prisoners. Sighing with a little groan you lower your hat again and step up onto the higher deck, laying eyes on the three prisoners. The first was a woman, probably as old as you were before you became immortal; Early twenties late teens. The second was soot covered decent looking, a little bulgy on the arms, probably a blacksmith. But it was the third that caught your eye. You angled your head to get a better look at him under your hat and your sneer deepened.
“ Jack Sparrow?” You asked angrily. He was rocking, so you knew he had been drinking a few bottles of rum.
“ Ugh, Captain Jack Sparrow Sea-eye.” He said correcting you, “ And you’re first mate? Wow time sure flies since I’ve been here we really got to get together sometime to.” You had realized he was trying to go onto pointless ramblings and you drew your sword, pointing it directly at his neck. He looked down at the sword then back up at her, “ catch up.”
“ You still talk to much Sparrow.” You growled. You run your sword across the other two prisoners, “ and looks like you made friends for once.”
“Correction luv, acquaintances.” He said quickly looking over to them.
“ No matter you still have two people.” You said rolling your eyes. You slid your sword over to the girl and looked down at her with no emotion left in your eyes except ferocity and anger.
“ Have you come to a decision yet Sea-eye?” Another pirate asked after you interrogated the other two. You put your sword back in its sheath and turned to the comrade. You didn’t know his name seeing as you were usually asleep but you knew he was one of yours.
“ Take the girl to the dungeons, we can bring her back to her land for a decent shilling, Throw the blacksmith overboard as we have no use for him.” As they took the two away you smiled as they struggled and screamed. You looked at jack out of the corner of your eye, who seemed to be trying to slip away, but you drew your sword just in time to point it back on his head. Somehow you felt like you had to do this if you were gonna make sure he was taken care of. Forget Barbossa, you were gonna take matters into your own hands.
“ Jack?” you ask as you take your hat off and look directly at jack, “ tell me, what color are my eyes right now?” He looked completely confused but managed to say something.
“ now everyone knows your eyes are brown and blue luv, why ask?” he said with his usual drunken slur. You grinned as a black ring formed around his middle finger and he looked down at it.
“Neat magic trick you got there Stacy.” You growled at the sound of your name and you drew your sword, “ care to tell me again what it does?”
“ its no trick sparrow, its your scentence.” You snapped, “ from now on your tied to me, everywhere I go you go. there is only one way you can leave and I cant remember what it is but even if I did I wouldn’t tell you!” you took a breath, realizing you just finished what jack was about to start. You turned to see the Blacksmith get tossed over and you turned to storm off and go into your room. When you heard Jack’s footsteps behind you you stopped to yell at him but before you turned you realized, that meant he had to be with you everywhere, even in bed.
You immediately began to regret ever keeping him from walking the plank…
