Quote:
The elven-avian hybrid that Agios is a very different type of being. Besides the obvious external features, the wings, ears and form, there are a few changes beneath the skin of the elf that grant him the ability to fly. But first, the physical description of Agios Althelos. He stands Six (6) foot two (2), and weighs in at 210 pounds. Thanks to an enchament mad permanent by his Queen, he now has two jet black wings, with a total wingspan of 15 feet. While not ripped, he is lean, but does not look like the normal elf, wings aside. His ears, which are long and loab-less, while his left is normal, his right is pierced in to places, at the tip, which is not that painful, and at the base, which is an incredibly painful process, a silver chain runs from piercing to piercing. His hair, once long and silver, is now cut short, to shoulder length, rather then to the small of his back, and there is a single red streak on his right bang that overhangs and hides his blind right eye is another change. His golden colored eyes, once able to both see, are now different. His left eye is normal, but his right sees like a computer lay out. Air speed, temp, wind direction, ect, ect, ect. That ability is a magical one, granted to him by the Lady Chalista in Elvardein, but that is another story.

What Agios wears has also changed. He no longer wears the modified black robes of a great one to hide his formerly disfigured and scarred skin. Instead he wears modified elven garb. Not the robes, but a simple pare of black pants, a silver belt, and, when he wears one, a simple tunic that has holes in it for his wings to stick out of. On his back, attached to his belt at an angel, is a simple short sword. On the sides of his lower legs are two stilettos (two per leg, four in total), their tips tucked into his boots. He wears a pare of black leather bracers as well.

Besides the external physical changes, when the enchment was made permanent many changes were made to his bone structure, muscle structure organs and more. His bones are hollow, like birds, but much stronger, almost unbreakable. His muscles are much stronger, and he is able to lift three times his body weight easily, more if needed. His the muscles in his legs were remade, and, if he crouches in the correct way, he can springboard into the air, this can also be used for a powerful kick. His lungs are larger and more powerful, his heart beats faster, is larger, and he has three more pints of blood then the normal human, and his blood also has nuclei, like birds. His internal organs are reformed, smaller and more efficient. He also has something strange, air sacks. In side his torso are air sacks that do a few things, besides helping keep his blood oxidized, when he flies, some of the air sacks are filled with a lighter-then-air gas that his body produces naturally, helping to make him able to fly.

History
Once, Agios was called Lord, King, and Hero anywhere were the flag of black and silver flew. He lead the Army of the West in a bloody war that had been being fought for eons between the gods of the Eastern and Western realms and the Gods of Terra and the world that men called Hell. But, this war was not one of the all powerful slugging it out with magics and powers that would melt the mind of a normal man, no, for the gods had found a better way to expand their power without putting themselves at risk, for when the gods went to war, they were no longer immortal, and could be slain. No, they did not subject themselves to war, they made armies of men and women, elves dwarves and thousands of other races that neither man nor elf or dwarf has a name for, and set them to war. After a few years, each side of the gods decided on what races suited them the best. The East, as one group of the gods called themselves, made their army up of dwarf, elf, avian and a few other races that have no name, for they died off in the early years. The West formed armies of men and elf, relying on the cunning and spark of humanity and the knowledge and age of the elf to give it an edge in war. Holy Terra, in her blind rage, ripped open the lock of Time on her world, and had billions of untold billions to call on to wage war, for no time was not open to her to pull men from to fight, she fielded armies of cavalry lead by Alexander the Great, Romans and Germans fighting side by side, and so on. And, on the world called Hell, the evil, corrupt gods called forth evil rights, summoning up an Undead Horde made up of thousands of races to fight for its cause.

The war was fought on thousands of worlds. That feat was made possible not by space travel, but by travel between worlds, "realms" as they were soon called, by Gateways called Rifts, forged by the strongest of mages. It was soon discovered that one could only access certain worlds from other worlds. So, it became a war of holding worlds and making new gateways, trying to destroy the logics base and moral of one army, so that it would give in, and leave the gods powerless. allies were formed. The East and West joining together against the horrors that were coming from Hell and Terra. After two thousand years of combat, the lines became stalled. Neither side could press the advance. Key junction worlds were held by both sides and mages on both sides blocked the other from making new Rifts. So, to move on, a "contested" world had to be comptely captured. With a mixture of technology on both sides, it became a feat to take a fortress, or simply win a battle.

That is until, a simple wood elf from the Western planet Nova Terra came of age and was given command of a squad of Elite Elven Rangers, called "The Spear Tip" for they, unlike any other unit on either side in the war, were able to travel the realms upon the backs of greater dragons, hence bypassing the need for a Rift. Agios himself was nothing special. In the West, the feudal system ruled, and Agios was in fact the b*****d son of a Greater Lord, and, dishonored and cast aside, he decided to give up his surname and go to war, for, at the young age of 3000, the drafts had not started, and the war-lust had not infected the males of the West yet. On his first mission, The Spear Tip took the main Rift Site of Genesis, gaining a foot hold and letting the army pound though, taking the realm and starting an advance that rolled across a hundred worlds before it was halted. During that time, Agios raptly climbed the chain of command, and when the Army of the West reached the godless world of New Sanctuary, were the war meant nothing to people who lived there, for the gods could not touch them, and a war for the gods was not worthy of their time.

It was soon learned that to continue the advance, the Army of the West would need to open a Rift on New Sanctuary, a feet that could only be done with the allowance of the Mage Counsel of New Sanctuary. Agios, who held the rank of Force Leader (American military rank equal: Captain) at the time, reported back that there were two ways to the allowance of the Mage Counsel, either open diplomatic talks that would take years, or kill everyone on the planet and use the planet as an example to others that were in godless realms, that the might of The West would not be slighted. The commanders of the West, gods or god-touched men women and elves, decided on the second option, gave Agios command of a small army, a promotion, and the order to "Kill all, men, women and children, even the dogs."

Agios agreed, and lead an army of three thousand to New Sanctuary, ready to kill in the name of their gods. When they reached the city of Freedom on the Great Inland Sea, they reached a city with large walls and an army. Agios laid seigh, and soon the walls were breached, and the slaughter begin. At first, Agios didn't mind what he was doing, but, soon, the gravity and horror of what he was doing hit him hard, after he killed a women trying to defend her children. What he was doing hit him hard, as he realized that the blood of people who just wanted to live free was on his sword. He went quite insane, and that loss of sanity did two things. First it unlashed a new bread upon the world, for, with his power untapped, Agios was Something Different. Second, it drove Agios' sanity to the back of his mind, and something else took over. This new mind was given the name Lord Deathstalker, by the men who followed it, for it was said Death himself stalked the elf warrior with the red eyes. By himself, Lord Deathsalker, the alter ego of Agios, killed billions and turned the Great Inland Sea red with blood.

When it was over, Agios was broken, and warring with himself. Two minds fought for the control of one body, and the battle was wagged in two places. One being Agios; mind, the other being the physical world. When Agios had control of the body, it was very quite and didn't move, eat or sleep; but when Lord Deathstalker had control of the body, it killed all in site. Soon, a trap was set and powerful mages trapped Agios in a cage of black gold, and moved him to a Realm were the gods could work at his mind. After a few long days their favorite puppet was back to as normal as it would be for one of the God-touched, or Avatars. The process to chain The Deathstalker needed a second, slain, mind inside of Agios to hold the chains. So, an elder god, called Nor, was sent to guide the Uber-elf Agios on the "Path to glory for the West."

Agios, his sanity given back to him and with a god to guide him, lead the armies of the West in battle. They gained more ground in weeks then they had in months. Pushing forward, they were an unstoppable object with Agios' at their helm. His mind, expanded, saw things others didn't, giving him the power to out tactic any army fielded against him. Terra sent more and more men to die against his armies, until the Grand Army of the Holy West sat one rift away from Terra herself, on the planet of Ashgard, It was looking good, but, when things are looking really good in a war, something, somewhere, is going to go to hell in a hand basket.

For the West, that somewhere was the holding units that were staving the flow of Hell's undead hordes. The holding units fell, and Hell, using technology and magic unknown to the other three factions, blasted a path though the nothingness of Riftspace and right in the center of The Grand Army of the Holy West's camp, and sent through ten undead dragons. As these unholy monsters held the toe hold, Hell pored though tens of thousands of undead warriors, and five more undead dragons, at the same time Terra unleashed a counter attack and started to slaughter Westerners. Caught behind a Rock and a very hard place, The Grand Army of the Holy West was about to be destroyed, and was only saved by a few things.

Those things were that the Grand Dragons, a type of powerful dragon that had stayed neutral from the war, were so appalled by the use of their dead kin at weapons that they allied themselves with the forces of the West. Fifty Grand Dragons of all colors, lead by their Queen Valyana, dropped from the Ashgard sky and attacked their undead kin with flame, tooth, claw and magic so old that it had not been seen in millions of years. Mountains crumbled, lesser minds died, rivers flowed upstream, volcanoes belches water, time stopped and gods died at the Grand Dragons attacked. And, while the world cried under their magical attacks, Agios stood there, and absorbed power.

Hell was not phased by the attack, and sent more undead dragons to combat the Grand Dragons. Soon the skies above the battle field became a torrent of fire and magic as two types of dragons warred in the skies. On the ground, men and women battled each other and undead as the Westerns fought a desperate holding action while they waited for reinforcements to arrive.

Agios himself was in the thick of it. Fighting with sword and shield, spear and javelin, magic and will, he lead groups of men and elf were he was needed the most. He fought hard and long, the men and women following him dieing around him while he stood like a rock against the never ending tide of Undead and Terrans. For hours the Westerners fought the holding action. But, it was a vain attempt, for when one Undead or Terran fell, two more jumped to take their place. Then, there was a lull. A Terran general walked forward and demanded the Westerner's weapons, not their surrender. Agios stepped forward, looked back at the 1000 remaining men and women of the army, then turned to the general and spoke. "If you want them, come and take them." He said, drawing his sword, he tossed it in the air and said "But you can have this for free." Agios caught the sword, spun in place and threw it. It spun through the air, and slammed into the heart of the general, killing him.

While the Terrans were still in shock, Agios yelled charged and ran forward, pulling his sword out of the dead Terran and charging into the center of the Terran line. The Westerners followed their Hero into the Teeth of Death. Their charge shocked the Terrans to the core, and, for one moment, it seemed as if the West might just hold on. Sadly, A cavalry counter-charge stopped the momentum of the charge short. Soon, only Agios was left alive, out of the 1,000,000 man army of the west, only one elf stood. He was captured, chained, and lead away to rot in Terran prison.

He was captured and held for almost two thousand years. Beaten, cut, burned, mutated though magic, he bore many scars, burns and blemishes that never truly healed. During those years in prison, Agios drove out the god who had been sent to guide him and emblazed the so called "darkness" inside of him. Lord Deathstalker. Over the years, the two sides of the same coin got to know each other, and learned from one and other. Their combined power grew, and soon became a beacon for the gods of The West, who sent their best team to get Agios out.

Gars, known as the Green Demon. A warrior who only wore the color green, had green hair and eyes, and was the master of the green katana "Zander." Beowulf, the Norse Legend Reborn. A man who wore heavy armor but moved as if he was wearing nothing at all, who never showed his face. And, lastly, A female elf ranger who went by the name Chalista, which was old elven for "long sight." Chalista, a lovely women with short black hair, was known to the archers of the West as "Longbow" for she was never without her bow, and was a dead shot with it.

Those three stormed the jail where Agios was being held. They sprung Agios from the jail, and escaped, but Chalista took a javelin to the knee, shattering her leg. Agios carried her the rest of the way. She was taken to the hidden elven city of Elvardein, and hidden away from the others for a time.

Agios Gars and Beowulf became fast friends, even when Gars and The Wulf found of Agios' new look on things and the way he saw what was happening to his people. For, in the long time he was gone, the humans and the elves that made up the West had become so full of hatred for the Terrans and undead that many generations were being born with one thought on their mind. Destroy and kill all who appose the West.

After a few campaigns, Agios, who now held the rank of High-general, begin to pull away from the battle field and threw himself at Rift study. He soon found a way to open personal rifts, and took a little time off to himself. He found many things, including The Hall of Worlds, a great path once traveled by the Great Ones Pug, Tomas, and Macros. There he first heard of the realm called "The Land of Tears", a godless realm were he could escape the war for good.

He entered The Land of Tears, and found a new home, and decided to stay there. Then, events took place in the West that required his presence. He left for three days, then, became sick if the war, and the West, and left.

The Gods of the West were not happy with his choice, and sent people after him to destroy or capture him. Agios, once a Lord of The West, was forced to run. He returned to The Hall of Worlds, and in his escape, found the realm were the city of Elvardein was hidden away from all, including the gods. There he discovered that Chalista was safe and sound, along with many friends and fellows he thought dead alive and healing. Agios rested their for a while, leering from the old elves who ruled there of magics and enchaments that were lost to most other races.

After a pleasant stay, he left Elvardein, and wandered The Hall, looking for the Gateway to the Land of Tears. It took him most of a week to find it, and when he did, he returned.
