I received the word from my relatives that my grandmother has passed away tonight, around 7 pm.
I knew this day would come. I am glad that I took the opportunity to visit her in the hospital a couple of days ago, to see and speak to her for one last time. She was a sorrowful sight there, enough to make my eyes well up. Yet, I did my best to make my last meeting with her as memorable as possible. She has reached the age of 90 years, I thought she may have reached 100.
All my years since I was a kid, she was a caring mother to the whole family. To my parents, uncles, aunties and even to us, her grand kids. She cared about us more than anyone could have imagined. I have never once seen her behave selfishly towards anybody. Even when resources in the house were limited, she was good at managing them to bring happiness to everyone in the family. She lived a fulfilling life, devout to God, till the very end. She was truly an inspiration to everyone on how one should live their life.
May God rest her soul and grant her peace!
I will be off Gaia for a while.
