Fafnir's Origins
In the old Norse legends, Fafnir was a dwarf originally. Son of a great king, Hreidmar. Brother to Otr and Regin. The story of Fafnir is that Otr, who had been in the form of an otter, was killed by the Gods, Loki to be precise, to be worn as clothing. On that fateful day, the very Gods came to King Hreidmar and his sons, showing off the pelt of Otr.
In a fury of action, Hreidmar appended the gods. Loki was left free but only for one condition. He would collect gold of all kinds to stuff inside of the otter's skin and cover it in red-gold. Loki, being the trickster he was, did as he was told but he grabbed more than he needed. Loki took it upon him self to snatch up the cursed gold of Andvari as well as the ring, Andvaranaut. Both were infamously known to bring death to those who possessed them.

When the time came, Loki presented the gold, and in a turn of events. Fafnir cut down his father and stole the gold himself. He ran off far away, hiding along the mountain-side with the gold he guarded so feverishly. After time, his form began to change and represented a large dragon. With the gold and the body fitting to greedily covet his gold, he spewed poison gases. Covering the land in a thick mist of poison, the land died around him. It was left barren and gray for Fafnir's poison held no distinction to towards life. The story of Fafnir ends with Regin's foster son, Sigurd slaying him while hiding in the water.

Fafnir's heart was cut out and later eaten. As Fafnir laid there, his chest empty of a heart and slowly dying, he waited for the last bits of his energy to fade away and he would disappear from the world of the living. But then, out of no-where, a figure walked up to him. A woman of unknown origins appeared in front of him, seemingly out of the blue. His vision was blurry and he could only see the black silhouette of her body, but he could see her cold piercing eyes clearly.
Her eyes were a soft lavender that shined clearly despite death clinging to the last bits of his vision. He couldn't see anything but her unyielding gaze upon him. She knelt down beside Fafnir's, slightly caressing the opening of his wound, sending jolts of sharp pain though-out his body, as if to keep him awake. For what seemed like hours to the dying Fafnir, she picked at his wound, reopening any of the capillaries that had closed up. Fafnir opened his mouth to speak in protest but was quickly silenced as she clamped down on his muzzle. Despite her tiny figure, he could feel the power squeezing his mouth shut. Her eyes were digging deep into his soul as now, all he could see were her lavender eyes.

She spoke in a soft and gentle tone, but her words were heavy. Every syllable felt reinforced with the power to crush mountains in dust. "I'll give you a choice..." She said, slowly inserting her hand inside of his gaping chest. Fafnir shuddered with agony as he could feel his body writhing and he screamed. He yelled in anger, his eyes fixated on her's, asking her what would she have of him. She squeezed her hand, holding his exposed muscle. She responded with silence.

After a long period of laying in complete pain and anger, Fafnir finally gave up trying to resist her. His muscles, clenched no longer. His head dug into the dead and barren ground. Fafnir's vision had faded to near nothing. He saw darkness surrounding his vision, seeking to take his life to the void. But he could see her eyes still, bright as day, and their only focus was him. With mustering up the last of his strength, Fafnir asked the woman, "Who are you?"

She stared at him for a moment before she made a grin. A very bright and devious grin that could a Jester cower in fear. "I'm many things..." she paused as she caressed his muzzle, her soft feeling touch and warm. "My name is..." Fafnir watched her lips move but at that moment, no words came from it. As if it was not meant for his ears. "And you, will be my servant." She said.

Fafnir grimaced as he felt a sharp pain arise from his back. He turned to look, groaning in the process as he could feel something opening. He saw a hand, pierced through his hide. That was the last thing Fafnir saw before his vision faded completely to black, his soul unable to remain any longer.
