Race: First human, later will become a Faerie
Power: Nature Channeling - This is an ability that allows her to project and manipulate mystical/arcane energy. It could be described as 'nature itself'. It can easily harm any human at close range. She can channel nature through her body and project it in a concentrated and powerful blast of light which can manifest as magical energy or a kinetic force that can throw or repel objects a considerable distance. This power has mysterious, supernatural effects, such as breaking illusions and reversing/removing spells. This is the core of Fae magic and can be used for a number of other purposes. She has little practical control over it, but can use it if she feels right. Currently, the only control she has is based in her emotions. Most often, it shows in play, but if angry, scared, or in pain, she could lash out. She currently lacks the strength to do anything very big without being completely exhausted by the effort.
(If caught in a fight, she would probably try to lash out with the kinetic blasts. A ten-sided dice will be rolled in this case. 1-2 means no effect, 3-4 means enough force to move something a couple inches, 5-6 means enough force to move something a few feet, 7-8 means enough force to move something a few yards, 9-10 means enough force to throw something up to thirty feet, but that also leaves her feeling very tired and in need of some rest.)
-Ability 1: Shapeshifting - She can shapeshift, currently, having three forms. A filly, a kitten, and a Labrador puppy. Solid black fur in each case. She can stay in an animal form for a decently long time, but is only capable of shapeshifting about three or four times a day before she is too tired to. She cannot shapeshift when tired or drugged, normally,. However she can under certain conditions. Either extreme desperation or after having gone too long without. If she does not shapeshift, after about two days she starts to feel discomfort that slowly grows until she is forced to change.. She would likely pass out afterwards.
Eventually she could learn to use a wider variety of forms, from extinct creatures to ones thought to have never existed. She would not be able to use any supernatural abilities associated with an animal, but she could use their physical traits.
-Ability 2: Animal Kinship - She seems to have a certain.. Way with animals of all kinds. They tend to like her and will help her where they can. She can sense their emotions, their general health, and how to help them if they're hurt. She can tame animals. Sometimes she seems capable of communicating with words and being understood by them, but it may not be quite that. She could probably learn to control animals, but they would most likely turn against her after that wears off.
-Ability 3: Foresight - She can see into the future. However, this only works for on one day in the year, November 1st, and she can only see one year into the future. She cannot see her own future except where it intersects with the future of someone else that she is viewing.
Bio: Myria was born into a family of rather intelligent people. Her father was a scientist, while her mother was a lawyer. Neither of them believed in sheltering her the way most adults do with children. Keeping her safe, yes, but when she was curious about something they would teach her. Because of this, she learned about things like death from a young age. When her mother read her bedtime stories, it was usually Grimms' Fairy Tales, but she had some Disney in her life too. She preferred her mother to read to her, because her father's idea of bed time stories.. Were usually books about science, with lots of big complicated words she didn't understand. Hearing about a bad wolf getting what he deserved was so much more interesting to her mind. Yes, her favorite story was Little Red Riding Hood. God only knows why.
So her life was happy, she knew she was loved by her parents.. But, like any child, she was very curious about the world around her and didn't always do as she was told. It was during a vacation her parents brought her with them that it happened. A vacation they had rented a beach cabin for. She was rather scared of the ocean, for very good reason (her father told her about sharks).. But she did like exploring and playing in tide pools. Just a day before they were due to go home, while she was out playing, she saw something strange. At a disused old dock was a ship with many people going on and off.. Something about it seemed strange, but she couldn't figure out what.
She only saw this because she had roamed further than she normally did without realizing it. Of course, she had to go for a closer look. She was able to sneak onto the ship without being caught.. It didn't take her long to realize it was a bad place to be, but when she tried to leave.. She was panicking. It wasn't too surprising that one of the guards caught her.. And they decided not to let her go. Another specimen for an experiment was always helpful. It wasn't like they hadn't kidnapped anyone before.
This was how she found herself being taken to the island of Solaria. Another disappeared child to be taken to be experimented on. Upon arriving on the island though, the ship was attacked. In the ensuing chaos she was able to get away. Since then, she has been hiding in the forests.. Unfortunately, she doesn't know how to survive outside. It's a miracle she has even lasted this long, but it's only a matter of time until she's either captured by someone or dies.
Extra information: After being experimented on, she will develop the following traits:
A severe allergy to iron. It makes her uncomfortable to be around (the more nearby, the worse it gets) and can cause minor burns on contact.. Ingesting any in water would be poisonous. Most likely it would burn her insides. Cold forged iron can cancel her powers and injuries caused by it heal very slowly and effect her spirit as well as her physical body.
If she promises to do something, she will do it, even if she changes her mind about wanting to. She will always keep her word, no matter what.. But if she agreed to do something in exchange for something else, if the person did not keep their end, she doesn't have to do a thing. She will also find it difficult to lie.
