I used the 5d2 for footage off of the bikes. There's not a chance I'd mount that on my own bike. A word of caution, I learned hard way about riding and storing my HDSLR inside my backpack while using lens on. On a ride, I took an awful fall. My Canon 24-70 L f/2.8 lens ripped out of the 5d2 body. The lens mount was still being attached to the body. Luckily, that's the sole damage and Canon Professional Services could repair the lens. If you can be riding along with your HDSLR, take off the lens in case. Better safe the sorry.
