Long long time ago i posted about a software i was working on that would help me on my never ending quest of downloading movies and tv series. It would work like this: I would put stuff to download using a torrent software, then configure it to after it finishes downloading move it to another folder, a software would watrch this folder and try to deduce if its a movie or tv series (i made it work by searching season and episode number tags), search its name online to try to find the correct name and year/season-episode, rename it correctly and create a nice and proper folder directory, then it would ve moved to a temp folder so then another process would move it to my video library ready to be scaned by, then, XBMC ready for me to watch it.
Back then I used to program with Visual Basic 6.0 and the so called "DLL Hell" was very real.
I lost interest in the project and soon after I decided that i had to move to a more reliable and actual programing language: C#.
Years went by, and i got better at programing with it.
Now i am thinking on going back to that project. And i know i can make it and i know i can make it even better: Enter Telegram.
Thank God Telegram, unlike Whatsapp, has an open api that would either let me create a bot or send and receive messages. Why do i want this? I can easily send via the download url via torrent which my program would receive and download, and if it doesnt find the movie or tv series i am downloading it can alert me to my cellphone where i would reply back with the proper name for it to use. It would be a great integration.
My only problem now is that i dont have the time to work on it...
Final Fantasy 14 and my books eat all my time.
