Rent a Kin Strategy Guide
This guide assumes that the reader has rented a level 50 kin from one of the many Kin rental services here on GaiaOnline.
So you've just started playing Lake Kindred, and you're wondering how you can make the best use of your time. You've gotten your starter kin and you've got a rental kin onhand. Now you're wondering, how does this Lake Kindred thing work?
How can I make money on Lake Kindred? There are two ways to do this. You can either go RIG (Random Item Generator) hunting or go on a Sycamorte killing spree.
RIG hunting? RIGS (or Random Item Generator) are chance items that can give you other items. You can sell these on the marketplace for some gold, or open them from inside your inventory if you want to test your luck. You can get RIGs from killing kin in Fafnir's Peak or Zen Temple.
Sycamorte killing? Sycamortes (also called trees) are tree-like enemies in stages 4 and 5 of the Kindred Wilds area. They have a cousin, the Phantom Sycamorte, which generally have higher HP. Sycamortes can drop 1-2 billion gold at a time (this drop is more common among Stage 5 Sycamortes), which is why Sycamorte killing is so popular.
Generally, it is better to kill Sycamortes in Stage 5. Stage 4 Sycamortes don't often give very good rewards.
I can't go Sycamorte hunting yet. Stage 5 of Kindred Wilds is still locked! I suggest you use your rented kin to grind for RIGs in Fafnir's Peak. Go for the higher level enemies first so you can get yourself to level 20 quickly!
Can all kin kill Sycamortes? Nope! You can check here to see which kin can kill trees. All our premium kin and those listed under Level 50, Stage 5 Killers can kill trees.
Which of your kin do you recommend? Our premium kin are the best choices for Sycamorte grinding, while our level 5 tree killers are also good choices.
I'd say all level 50 kin are good for RIG hunting.
