Hetalia was an experience. I am a huge fan. I definitely recommend watching the five-minute episodes in ENGLISH. Yes, I know, English dubs aren't always the best, but do me and yourself a favor and frick fracking watch Hetalia in English. I don't understand why there is so much "hate"alia (yes I just did that) around the series. What's not to like about an incredibly hilarious anime about countries poking fun at each other? I absolutely loved it. The voices were spot on and I still think Italy is a whiny little mofo. America and Britain were my favorites and I always smiled at Japans voice. Plus, Marukaite Chikyuu is freaking adorable (may or may not be listening to them right now). There's really not much to the anime plot-wise, its more like a sitcom following historical events. The main countries that are the most involved are the Axis (Italy, Japan, and Germany) and Allies (China, Britain, America, Russia, France and lil baby Canada) (Who's Canada?), with other countries such as cutiepie Switzerland, Austria and Cuba. I only watched Axis Powers, because on Hulu the other seasons do not have the dub. I figured two seasons of Hetalia is enough for me. Chibitalia was pretty cute, definitely shipped Holy Rome and Italy. I didn't ship many other countries really, the fangirl me didn't focus on the yaoi gayness of the whole thing. However, I ship Britain and America SO HARD. (THE FANFICS THOUGH *nosebleeds*). I do think Britain is cute--I like his eyebrows. The anime is incredibly funny and incredibly random and incredibly recommended. Did you know that all of the countries have actual names? I just found that out yesterday. Anyway Hetalia is up there with my top comedy animus, it is honestly too funny. Hetalia gets eight history lessons out of ten.
