Thunderous Steps...

Turpis' eldritch eyes squint as he stared in the sun's direction. He held his hand to his brow to cut off some of the glare that came with the rays. The ground shook every few moments and Turpis found himself having to readjust as he looked out over the horizon. He was obviously lost, especially considering that the source of the shaking earth was only several dozen yards behind him. Turpis would not acknowledge this fact though; not until he was well within the giant's shadow. Rather hard to ignore a ten story entity when they attempt to stomp upon you.
The terrain morphed when the giant stomped and Turpis was launched into the air by the rising ground. He turned his gaze to the rapidly departing ground and for an instant he considered the potential for a lapse in his judgement. The lapse was confirmed when a fist larger than Turpis launched his form back towards the ground. The giant's strength was proportionate for something of that size. Its speed, however, was uncharacteristic.
The horned djinn's knees buckled when he landed, as did the earth beneath him. His landing was soon followed by the descending fist of the giant. Turpis, aware this time, caught the surface of the fist by placing a palm on the giant's ring and index fingers. Turpis' knees bent even further as he bore the force of the giant's punch. The ground beneath Turpis cratered.
The crater grew as the giant proceeded to replicate his punch in an attempt to crush the djinn. By the time he had reached the triple digits, a valley had been gouged into the earth. Satisfied, the giant stood erect. The massive being breathed heavily; it was mildly fatigued from having landed so many blows. It cast off the sweat from its brow as it scanned the ground for the mangled body of the being it had pummelled.
Despite withstanding the onslaught of punches, Turpis remained standing. He exhaled a plume of steam and several shards of crystal-like glass broke off from his arms and chest. The temperature of the air around him was sweltering, evidence of the heat that he was giving off. He turned his attention to the giant, those black and golden eyes staring straight into those massive orbs. He did not bother to speak. He would not be heard.
Turpis tongue lolled out of his maw and the djinn hunched over as if retching. The giant seized that oppurtunity to crush the male beneath his fist. Hidden under the fist that sought to crush him, Turpis brandished a blade which appeared to be fashioned from bone. With a horizontal slash across the knuckles, Turpis lacerated the descending fist. Between the size of the giant and the force of the cut, Turpis was drenched in a torrent of blood.
The earth trembled and shook as the giant's roar thundered throughout the land. The massive entity stumbled back as it held its wounded hand by the wrist. Droplets of blood rained down in crimson pools as giant sized droplets of blood fell and stained the grass red. Without hesitation, it buried its fist into the ground in order to fill the wound with dirt and stop the bleeding.
"Shut up." Turpis stood atop the Giant's shoulders. Between Turpis' greaves was a hill sized mound that indicated where the spine met the neck. It was here where Turpis plunged his blade. When he pulled back upon the hilt, it withdrew without the blade. The giant froze, both in motion and sound. A final peal of thunder was heard as the titanous form collapsed beneath its own weight.
From the wound in its neck, a cloud of crimson dust emerged from the Giant. The cloud crowded around the hilt of the blade and immediately reformed the blade. Turpis pinched the flats of the blade and wiped all traces of the blood from his sword. What he did manage to remove was immediately deposited into his gluttonous maw.
Turpis allowed his body a shake as he shook some of the blood off that covered him head to toe. He did not bother to clean himself off though. Butchering the giant was going to be messy.
