Many people who have a disability don't let it prevent them from leading full and rich lives, indeed some are an inspiration to both disabled and non-disabled people alike. Below is a list of disabled people who have achieved outstanding success despite their disability.

The games of 2012 will include 26 sports. Baseball and softball will not be played in London; however they do remain Olympic sports. Women's boxing has been added for 2012. The council worker coronation street will also take place and will feature 20 different areas of competition.

For some reason, this 'paralyzed man uses robotic arm lacks the "big" feel that most have. It may have something to do with Lawrence Taylor wrestling in the main event instead of then WWE Champion Diesel. In addition, Bret Hart and The Undertaker (who were the company's biggest draws at the time) had lackluster wins over Bob Backlund and King Kong Bundy respectively.

There's nothing more inspiring than watch Lance Armstrong in his yellow jersey, streaking across the countryside on a bike. His determination needs no introduction. Lance was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1996 and was told that there is only 10% chance of him surviving. And Lance made most out of that 10% chance. Today, he's not just a cancer survivor, he's is an example. His organization LiveStrong gives people around the globe hope rowdy roddy piper ronda rousey and courage.

Chantal worked extremely hard to become the athlete she is today. I believe her courage, willpower, and perseverance, helped her to achieve Paralympics status! She is a world class Canadian hero, a hero of determination, hope and freedom and that is why Chantal Petitclerc is the top Canadian Hero of 2008.
