Death Is An Other Path
This story is old and has no title
This is about a boy who became a vampire. This is his life story

I step outside into the cold night air, breathing in the air and sighing as the scent of blood filled my nose with its salting twisted. It was a nice night for a hunt. I never thought of it before, but this life is getting better. Ever since that night in the ally, walking back home after a night on the street with the boys, then getting attack by a falling cape, waking up in an old building. Smiling as I see a young man hurrying past to get home as the cold air hits him. I think dinner just pasted me by, but I will catch it. I stalked behind him, keeping ten steps away from him. As I get closer the scent of his blood was powerful, I could not help myself. I attacked. Biting down on his neck, feeling his blood run down my throat. I feel him go lump in my arms, I let go feeling his wrist for his pulse, but nothing. Smiling to myself as I let the mans lifeless body fall out of my arms and onto the footpath. I tall figurer walked towards me, as he got closer I see he was smiling.
“Well my boy, how was his blood?” My master asked me, smiling as he fixed his cape.
“Better than that old git you call a woman” I said pulling a face, only to make my masters smile widened.
“Well next time do not let me pick your feeds” My Master said with a sneer, I sneered back only to get grab around the throat.
“S-s-s…so..rr.y” I choked. My master let go of my throat. I rubbed my neck as my master checked through his bag.
“Next time do not sneer back, I am your master and I deserve respect from a youngling” Master said handing his bag to me to carry.
“We are leaving the City and hitting the road. You killing all those humans and leave them hanging around the streets is making the humans look at us, so we leave tonight” Master said walking down the street. I run up to my master, walking beside him not saying a word.
“I do not you to talk at all” He stops and turns to face me, pointing a finger in my face with a hard look he said “One word out of you, I will gut you” with out frothier ado he turns around and starts walking again, leaving me to shivering in the thought of being killed. My master all ways have beaten me for doing something wrong. I catch up with master, keeping quiet as we walk through the dark streets, only a few humans walking around. We came up to a train station, master walks over to the ticket booth and buying two tickets. I hold my hands together and look down at the ground, listening to master talking to the man in the booth, laughing once and awhile. After they had their chat master walks over to me and grabs my arm.
“Come on our train is leaving” He said pulling me towards the train, handing the tickets over to the man standing over by the door. Stepping on the train, masters hand still holding on to my arm, pulling me to one of the empty rooms.
“Sit down” Master said pointing to the seat near the window. Sitting down and looking at my hands on my lap.
“What is wrong with you?” Master asked smirking.
“Nothing” I said still looking at my hands. The horn blew and the train rocked then started moving.
“We are going to a small village on the east side of England, Death Valley. Do not ask why it is called that” Master said sitting down and pulling out his book on the horrors of the devil, laughing at what people have written. I look out the window watching the trees and land go by. Now that I think about I do not like this life. If you do not drink blood you go blood hungry and attack anyone who is not vampire, like elves, dwarfs and likens. Likens are blue big ears long tail animal thing, they used to be known as ZooKs and that is a capable K, Likens are great hunters, they kill their pray with one arrow, they are amazing to watch. I wish I could be one of them, not a vampire. Sighing.
“M-m-master” I said hoping not to get in trouble.
“What?” master hissed. Looking around, nerves that master would hit me.
“Why are we going to Death Valley?” I asked.
“Because there are not many humans around that village” he said putting away his book in his shoulder bag.
“But why not go to Winged Dragon Valley? Our kind of people live there and it will be safe” I looked at master knowing I pushed it to far. Now I was going to get the beating of my life.
“Why do you think we should go there?” he sneered “the filthy none vampire beings, they think they are better than everyone else” Master stands up walking over to me, grabbing my collar and pulling me up to meet his face.
“If you ask one more question you will get it understand” nodding keeping my mouth shut. Master lets me go, going back to his seat and closing his eyes.
“Get some sleep we will not be there until the next night” he said. Sighing doing as my master wanted, curling up in the corner on the seat, closing my eyes and drift off to a dreamless sleep.

Waking up to the sound of the train horn going off. Sitting up rubbing my eyes then yawning, I look over to master seeing him still asleep, thinking of waking him up, but not going through with it knowing master would hit me in the head for waking him. Sighing looking out the window watching all the humans running around the platform. Looking back at master smiling. Maybe I can run away from him? Get as far away from Master as possible. Smiling at the thought I grab my bag, checking it to see if I have everything. I open the door and ran off the train. Landing on the platform the trains horn goes off again, I watch it slowly pass by, I grin at the thought of master waking up to find me not there. I put my bag on the shoulders and set off down the platform to the exit. Exiting the train station I run down the footpath to the end of the street, looking around to find any to sleep. Gazing up at the sky, the sun was starting to rise, I have to find somewhere to sleep or I am going to burn to death, which would not be so bad if there was not many humans hanging around. Spotting an inn, creeping up to it, looking around to see anyone watching me. Maybe this place will have some place for me to sleep or maybe their rooms could be full, well it is worth a try. Taking a deep breathe I walk into the inn and straight up to the bar not looking at the humans.
“May I help you young man?” The human bartender asked chuckling.
“I would like a room please?” I asked glaring at him hoping he will fall to the dark hole I am digging for him if he does not do as I say.
“Sure, do you have any money?” The bartender asked. Opening my bag and pulling out a small bag full of coins.
“Will this do?” I asked looking at him.
“Yes that will do. Would you like some food? You look like you have not eaten for weeks” it is true I have not eaten, master said vampires do not need much food, and we only need blood to keep us happy. Nodding the man smiles and tells me to go find myself a table. Sitting at a table in the far back of the room keeping out of the rays of the morning sun. The human Bartender comes over with some cooked meat. Smiling my thanks I start eating.
“You know?” a man came up beside me “The way you hide in the shadows make people think you are hiding something” Looking at him I see that the man had bite marks up and down his neck and he was missing some teeth.
“What do you mean sir?” I asked trying not to give myself away.
“You should know only Vampires hide in the dark in the morning” He said chuckling. Mouth opened in shook. How did he find out, was he a vampire to or maybe he was a hunter? I back up
“Get away from me!” I yelled. The man smiled and turned and walked away, I sighed, sitting back down on the seat in the dark looking down at my food. I hope he does not sneak into my room when I am asleep
