"I'll plummet deep into the earth, over and over. If that is what it takes to see them again."
Stomp. RESET.
"I'll keep coming back, if that is what it takes to see them again." A faint, distorted chuckle that grows in volume, stomped through and silenced.
RESET.
"I'll keep coming back, you know that, though, don't you?" Stomp, stomp, stomp. Waxy petals scattering under my toes.
R E S E T
"I say, LET ME IN, won't you?" I raise my left foot above the frightened golden flower. A conversation between the two as I stood, proud but upset when I reflected on the situation. "Let her, Chara. Please." Flowey's squeaky voice came back to block out Asriel's, hissing and spitting up at my foot. "Go ahead, do it. You'll give up eventually." SLAM. RESET

stomp. RESET.
stomp. RESET.
stomp. RESET.
STOMP. RESET
STOMP. RESET.
STOMP.

It must have been just under a thousand resets when Chara appeared in Flowey and starting to scream at me, calling me evil before I could reset once more. Insulting me with all of her might. There was one last final silence, before a very pitiful sobbing arose from below my height. Chara agreed quietly, giving up her determination to stay in this place so I could save over hers. With one final, unforgiving, grinding heel into the face of my enemy, I reset my save file.

A tugging sensation rose in my stomach, almost like a lifting that is felt during a flippy rollercoaster ride. My soul was pulled from my existence, and forced into Undertale. Just as Chara's was at the beginning of all of this, but now she was no longer a nuisance. She existed no more. Once inside of the RUINS, I looked down at the patch of green that would normally hold Flowey, but resting in that place was an unconscious Asriel. Just as I planned, with the surrounding determination from his sister and the new CHARACTER, his soul absorbed some of it and never did turn to dust. He never would have been killed without Chara existing either, anyways. Almost comically, a mushroom of breath passed through my lips as I let out a sigh of relief. No longer using the body of a, ten year old, I presume? Now inside of my own body, I was able to bend over and scoop the young boy into my arms. Would his mother still be here? Would everything be different throughout this world, or just different in this certain area? It seemed to be the latter, as a woman walked in on me holding her tiny boy as I brushed tears off of his wet fur. "Oh, my.." Startled, as expected. This was fine. Her eyes were very wide and hands clasped to her mouth in surprise as she gasped at the sight of us. "He is alright.." I whispered, looking up at her with a small smile to ease her grief and utter confusion. She must have remembered the events, for now tears were pooling in her eyes and running down her cheeks. "I thought he, but.. he was supposed to be .. gone! Oh, my child.." We both walked back to her home in the middle of the ruins, happy with ourselves. She cooed to her unresponsive child as he rested in her arms instead of mine.

Toriel and I were sitting inside of the living room, at the table that had dead twigs, or what looked like dead twigs, decorating the center. The heat and sound of the fire made the room cozy and welcoming, we sat in silence and ate butterscotch-cinnamon pie. Just having her company was enough to put a smile on my face, but an even bigger smile appeared on hers when her son walked into the room to join us. Nearly knocking over her chair, she got up and went to give the tiny goat boy a very big hug. My smile had turned into a frown as I remembered how I was stepping on him just an hour or so ago, but it was for the best of everyone, right? Asriel seemed to think so, for I felt soft fuzzy arms wrap around me and hug me tight. I turned in the chair and began to weep, holding him back as I sat still.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, hiccuping every few words.

"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
"I'm so.. sorry."
