Nylon is is in the Polyamide family, and can be produced in either extrusion or cast versions. The cast variety has Cast Nylon Rod a callout of Nylon 6 or Type 6, while the more popular grade is extruded Nylon 6/6. Each of the two types {are both very durable and can be machined with common tools. The Dupont Nylon are used in a large number of machining applications.
