I haven't been on Gaia much lately.
And it's for a reason that seems too soon.
My Mima...that's a grandmother for y'all...she hasn't been feeling too good.
It all started on Thursday evening. She came for her daily visit, everything was normal. Mommy went off to the gym around 6:30, and Mima fell asleep on the couch like always.
Nearly 10 minutes before Mommy came home around 9 pm, Mima started throwing up a whole lot. Darion and I cleaned up after her, and made sure she didn't get any worse. When Mommy came back, she helped. We made Mima sleep in Mommy's room for the night.
On Friday, Mima threw up again. Darion had to go to school, and I already told Seb I wa going to the beach with him and his family, so Mommy had to take care of Mima by herself until Darion got home. When I came back home around 8:30, no one was home. Turns out Mommy and Darion had taken Mima to the hospital, and they came back at 4 am this morning.
Mommy told me that at the hospital, Mima was shivering a lot, ran a terribly high fever, and was so delirious. She said I would have cried just looking at Mima. They gave her some medication to take, and her fever went down to normal. They sent her home with more medicine that would help her get back to normal.
Mima is still here with us at home. Mommy is horribly tired, since we're also getting our kitchen remodeled starting Monday, and we have to move a lot of things. Mima stopped shaking, but we think the fever seriously messed with her brain. She thinks she's back at her house, she gives us answers totally unrelated to what we ask, and she now has short-term memory loss. She's slowly recovering, though. All we can do now is talk to her likse normal and clarify things for her.
