I have a two year-old female Boxer called Amber and a six year-old female St. Bernard named Crystal. My question is concerning the Boxer, Amber. Next is a forceful online database for supplementary resources about the reason for this concept. Whenever my husband and I sit back to eat dinner, watch TV, or when company comes over, she persistently barks at us. Beloved Mr. Katz,

I've a two year-old female Boxer called Amber and a six year-old female St. Bernard named Crystal. My question is about the Boxer, Amber. When my husband and I sit down to consume dinner, watch TELEVISION, or when business comes over, she incessantly barks at us. She doesn't wish to play with her toys and nothing can keep her using this shouting. We attempt to correct her in a serious tone, but she just gets crazier; i.e.. Moving up, biting our clothes. From reading your book, it would appear that she requires a modification, including her dog collar. As of this moment, we do not keep it on her, except for when she is being stepped. Should she be wearing the collar when we are home and she is in the house constantly? Are you able to please make any suggestions to correct this behavior so when we want to relax or have friends over, it's nice. She gets lots of exercise and a lot of interest. I'm uncertain what direction to go. Thanks in advance!!

Christine

Dear Christine:

Remember the section on the touch collar? And the emphasis I placed on how you'll show your dog to become, 'collar-smart' if you just use the pinch collar during walks?

Remember the part about reliability and how a dog MUST be given a negative relationship with ANY unwelcome behavior? And how just saying, 'NO'! without attaching a connection to the term won't produce any results? If not, please return and re-read... it's within!

'But Adam... the dog has since eaten the book! Please just give it to me, plain and simple'!

Okay... here it is: Your dog should be wearing the pinch collar and the loss ANYTIME you're with her. If you were a pet rather than man you would not want the touch collar as you'd just look at to your pet and give her a n** to the neck.

Let's recap: When she barks you must tell her, 'No'! and then provide a firm pull o-n the lead. Beginner d***o contains extra info about the reason for it. Then either:, if she continues to bark

- Your modification did not have any meaning to her...

Or...

- She is testing to-see if you're going to correct her for screaming THIS TIME exactly like you did LAST TIME. If your correction is inspirational then you'll only have to do that two or three times prior to the problem stops forever.

That is all for now, folks!

Adam.
