Young Drivers

Waiting to get your provisional license can be an exciting time for young teenager drivers. With some of these great tips you can take the right steps in order to get your license when you turn 16. The very first thing is for you to get your provisional license before you do anything else. A license is labeled provisional if the person is below the age of eighteen. Which means that your license has an added restriction on your permit and drivers license that drivers eighteen and over do not have.

A teen driver with a provisional driver's license has a couple of restrictions. First constraint is you are not allowed to drive between midnight and five am. Reason being is young drivers are already considered higher risk and inexperienced so to let them drive at odd hours of the night just isn't safe for the citizens on the roads. During the first 6 months only immediate family members can ride in the vehicle. After the first 6 months has gone by you are allowed one passenger, who isn't a family member, to ride in the vehicle you're driving. After the first year following issuance only three passengers below the age of twenty one years old and who are not members of the drivers immediate family can ride in the car.

In order to obtain your provisional license or permit you need to be at least fifteen years of age and under eighteen. After a young driver obtains his or her provisional permit, they must comply with the limitation so as to keep it. You must follow all traffic laws. You need to drive without a collision. In order to drive you must have a parent, spouse, guardian, or an adult 25 years or older, who has a valid driver's license in the same state. Finally, you must have your provisional driver's license for a minimum of 24 weeks before you can take your examination to get your true driver's license.

For young drivers looking to get your driver's license you need to be at the very least 16 years of age. Also, you must have held your permit in the same state for at least one full year. Younger teenage drivers must also successfully finish a driver's education class also known as Drivers Ed. There must also be 6 hours of performed expert driver instruction by choosing one of many Texas Driving Schools. The final restriction is to have fifty hours of finished practice time with an adult that's 25 years of age or older. The adult must sign and log all fifty hours and a minimum of ten of the 50 hours must be completed at nighttime.

Every day there are many new teen drivers that come onto the roads for the first time. With that many new drivers every day, there is always someone who is inexperienced on the road. whether you are young or old it is best to keep calm and follow the traffic laws. .
