Ok here I am on the train ride home from boston, and all has not gone so well. The best place to start as allways is the beginning, as most of you know I just attended Anime Boston. Despite being a large and prestigious anime con it had it's fare share of hiccups. I arrived very early friday morning with very little trubble take a train here a subway there and all was well with the world. Then I proceeded to go to REGISTRATION yes that deserves caps dear readers because it was by far the worst registration I have ever been witness to in over 15 years of cons. The lines were long and interwoven in a manner that you just know a fire inspector would have shot us for, ventaliation was atrocious, and the complete lack of seating on our 1 hour path painfull. Those who had not prepaid were beating the registered line 80 to 1. Though I complain I did have the chance to meet a very nice Fire Mario and his friend who had the coolest little purse made out of soda can tabs and yarn.
After finally getting my badge I wonderd off threw the halls of the hynes convention center looking for a omg here or a afk there. Instead I found myself holding my friends stuff while he had a photo taken every thirty seconds. Not that I can complain very much with that he was the coolest looking Mario in the whole place, and I had to get used to it anyway because he had photos taken allmost non stop all weekend. Finally spotting a few well balenced kiki kitties and grunnies and a fast hop through the venders room I had to leave to register for the hotel, wich by the way was oober sweet!!!! That ended my con experience for the day, but some walking, grocercy shopping, and some more walking, and a long soack in a hot tub took care of that situation.
Saturday! what do I say the place was packed when I got there. For many hours I had great fun accosting gaians such as Homestar Runner, and some poor sod who happend to have the same pandy pack as me. But sometime around 3 or 4 I was bored again and went on a lets get lost in the streets of boston cursade to see X-Men 3. I did not get to see X-Men 3. Eventually we gave up and headed back to the hotel for a nap before attending the nights dance, and go to try and find a free game in the gameing room. It was then I met Kitsune Archangel and Koudelka *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!* After a long night of talking mild danceing and 2 rounds of the most boring version of tekken it has ever been my misfortune to play we called a cab and the night eeeerm morning lol.
Following the late night packing eating and checking out were in order. At the con we conned a friend of mine from my sci fi cons to let us put our stuff behind his table at artists ally. Yay!!!!!!! putting down like 20 pounds of crap is fun! hehehehe We found and lost and found and lost kitsunes group, did more shopping, got chibified and bought the only scince fiction non anime thing for sale at the whole con. It was time to make a second attempt at X-Men 3 this time with a larger group. I am going to hold off on commentary on the movie for those of you who have not yet seen it. This is ware it gets interesting we missed the train back home....the 11:20 pm and last train of the night, train back home.
Thank the gods for Kitsune and Uchiha Johen. I was permitted to crash on the floor of their hotel room. So here I am know on the morning train writing out this entry for later posting. If anyone has anything they want me to add to this entry that my poor bewilderd mind has forgotton please feel free to let me now.
