Hotel style: Casa de Campo
When a resort commonly accommodates the likes of Jay Z and Beyonce and the Kardashians, there is a level of luxury that is immediately established. This is quickly confirmed upon entering Casa de Campo, which is not your typical destination vacation. With 7,000 square acres of land, it is more akin to staying on your own personal island right in the Dominican Republic's Central Romana.

A seemingly endless playground of relaxation and entertainment spans over the resort, featuring everything from Championship Golf courses, to a yacht-lined marina, to a man-made 16th-century Mediterranean village, and all that lay between. Don't worry, if your accommodations don't already come with your own golf cart, you can rent one during your stay to help you get around. And with a resort of this impressive size and splendour, there is certainly much to do and see!

Hotel design

Staying true to its surroundings and history, the 185 guest rooms and 50 multi-bedroom "Villa" homes on the property draw from a cane-inspired design native to the sugar heritage of the land, which is elevated with modern furnishings and architecture.

The villas

The villas are the masterpieces of the resort. From Classic to Exclusive to Oceanfront Villas, you can cozy up to the Caribbean Sea in your own private pool and outdoor lounge while enjoying the privacy of your own home-away-from-home.

Built for luxury

These villas are built for luxurious indulgence and come with three to seven bedrooms, dining and living rooms, full kitchen and, in some cases, wine cellar.

The Beach Club

While the whimsical decor of the world-famous Le Cirque restaurant remains in New York City, the same integrity to cuisine is brought to the island's own private beach. In collaboration with Casa de Campo and Le Cirque's founders, the Maccioni family, Minitas Beach offers open-air dining right off the water at The Beach Club by Le Cirque.

A Carribean twist

Enjoy the romantic setting of white drapery gently billowing as you dine by sunset. It's certainly a moment to savour the delightful Carribean twist to its mix of international dishes.

Spa

Continuing the private luxury that comes with villa life, the spa offers rejuvenation in an intimate and relaxed setting, Tucked away among the shaded palm trees off the main pool, you enter a hidden garden that leads to private treatment huts. Despite being right by the main road and entrance to the resort, you hear nothing but the subdued spa playlist. For complete nirvana, may I recommend the natural lavender oil for your massage?

Golf

If you can manage to tackle the three Championship Golf courses, you will get to take in the beauty of Casa de Campo from fairways to greens. Hop in your golf cart and travel the lush landscape, from its challenging cliff sides along the Dye Fore course to the ocean waves along Teeth of the Dog.

Altos de Chavon

While Casa de Campo is a world of its own, there is a unique and truly impressive experience that you may be surprised to stumble upon. Past lush green fields, you will come across Altos de Chavon - a man-made artists' village built to resemble a 16th-century Mediterranean city, complete with a Grecian-style amphitheater. If it's 5,000-seat capacity isn't impressive enough, Frank Sinatra himself inaugurated it it 1982. With hand-cut stone, handcrafted wood and hand-forged wrought iron details, it truly is a sight to be seen. Not to mention it offers one of the most spectacular views looking over the Chavon River where Apocalypse Now and Jurassic Park were filmed.

Marina

If this 7,000-acre resort isn't enough of a destination for you, a trip to the marina will truly have you feeling like you're living a luxurious coast life. Designed to give the look and feel of a Mediterranean seaside village, this 90,000-square-meter marina is fully equipped with modern facilities, fine dining and high fashion boutiques.
