Anabolic steroids are typically associated with weight lifters, bodybuilders and general use for boosting athletic performance. Cancer in the liver or hepatic carcinoma has developed in the athletes when they have used anabolic steroids. Maladies like growths on the liver and other liver ailments will not be caught by the usual blood tests. The side effects of anabolic steroids are very dynamic and vary from mal-adjusted behavior to illegal activities. But that is not to mention that death can result for those who go to the extremes with these substances. You must have a prescription from a doctor to gain access to steroidal drugs. These steroids are controlled carefully even though their benefits are well documented. Side effects are then negated and the medicines can be used safely under medical supervision.
