Sony has officially announced that they will showcase a PS4 reveal at the next Playstation 2013 event in New York City. The Wall Street Journal reported on Feb. 1, 2013, that the event will most likely include details on the new PS4 console. The Playstation 2013 event will take place on Feb. 20, 2013.
The poll of 1,297 consumers -- conducted by Reuters and Ipsos between Sept. 23 and 27 -- says that 26 percent of people would buy the PS4 during or after its launch with just 15 percent choosing the xbox one, Yahoo News reports.
The video is very short, but it is enough to cause another round of speculation as to what the final look of the playstation 4 will be. What is not going to be speculated is when Sony is going to finally debut the PlayStation 4 system. Microsoft made the announcement on their official blog and included another nugget for their fans. Yusuf Mehdi, the Vice President of Marketing, Strategy, and Business for Xbox announced that the CPU for the newest console will have a higher speed than originally claimed. The CPU power of this xbox 360 will now be 1.75 GHz. That's a 10 percent increase over the original specs.
Competitor Sony's PlayStation 4 was announced in February, but will not be available until the fourth quarter of 2013. All we know about the availability of the Xbox One is that it will be sometime in 2013. Both units were announced before this year's E3, an annual trade show for the computer and game collection industry, where you would expect to get news like this first. Maybe they are planning follow up these announcements with much more information on the games to be available.
