I played World of Warcraft for pretty much two years. But, yes I was a great Paladin and PVPer in my server. During those years we had the Honor System, not the token system that exists today. It took away the prestige of the game, it rewarded the ordinary and penalized the super elite class of pvpers which had developed through the portail design honor days. World PVP was discouraged. But, people who did much like me were rewarded hamsomly.

This was the reason that I quit WoW, as it took away the portail design sole presitge offered in the game and opened up to everyone.

Sure, the cons for the honor system were that few people could get the rare armor, few people could play 15 hours a day to obtain enough kills and honor points to level up following the week.
