Fast and Reliable Home Remedies For Acne
Do you have an acne problem? Home remedies might work for you, as they can be inexpensive. Of course, if you have severe acne, you'll need to see a doctor and use prescription medication. However, for most people with mild or average acne, the items found in their pantry often work well.

Some items you might have to get from an online store or a health food store. So let's look at some of the best home treatments for acne.

One of the more effective acne remedies is tea tree oil. This is one natural treatment that has many of the same properties as prescription or over-the-counter acne medications. While tea tree oil is not necessarily something you normally have at home, it's easy to find at health food stores or online.

Many have found tea tree oil to be effective in treating acne, as well as a number of other ailments. Tea tree oil is a powerful anti-bacterial remedy, which is very similar to common medications for acne like benzoyl peroxide. You shouldn't use tea tree oil in concentrate form, though, as it can make the skin irritated. It should be used in diluted form instead. Exfoliating is a natural home remedy you can try to keep your acne problem under control. Dead skin cells are removed and your skin is then able to breathe. Oil or sebum can also contribute to acne and this is also removed during exfoliation. But avoid being too harsh on your skin when you are exfoliating. If you already have acne, you don't want to scrub the skin too roughly, as this can cause further inflammation. When you exfoliate, make sure to use a gentle facial scrub. You also don't need to do this more than twice a week. Don't use a bristle brush on your face because it will only aggravate your acne. A warm washcloth would be fine to use on your face. If done gently and not too frequently, exfoliation can help treat acne.

Don't be surprised, but toothpaste can be an effective home remedy for acne. Gel toothpastes won't work for this, though; you have to get the regular kind. You also don't want to use whitening toothpaste for this. To help your acne heal faster, apply ordinary white toothpaste. Like facial masks, toothpaste removes excess oil from the skin and clears it up as well.

There is no shortage of home remedies for acne. The ones we shared in this article have been used by many people with good results. The same treatments don't work for everyone, but if you experiment with these and other natural acne cures you should be able to find one that helps. For mild to moderate cases of acne, these natural home remedies are appropriate. However, it's best that you see a dermatologist if your acne problem is severe.
