Hmm...well, I've successfully neglected my journal for over a year, as the title says. I should get an achievement for that. 3nodding
Nothing much going on for development; my workplace has been doing a good job of burning me out, and it seems I only do development for personal projects when I'm happy. There was also a computer shift, leaving my family with only one computer for several months, which made work on my apps difficult at best, impossible at worst.
Not that it's much better even though we're back up to two computers now; I've lost a lot of interest in making my own card game. I can truthfully blame Netrunner, Doomtown, and MLP CCG for that in part, and a few other Android games in other parts, and the Gamergate jerks for yet another part.
Mostly, though, it's because I've been putting my creative energy into story writing. You can hear about my non-progress in the Off-Season NaNo threads in the writers' forum, if you're curious. For a long time, I've wanted to be a published author, and while I'm not much closer than I was a year ago, I've taken a step or two on that path.
Interestingly, for me, writing a story tends to not make me want to write more of the journal entries. Actually, I think it's the socializing aspect; if I have someone I'm talking to, I don't feel a need to self report as much.
Ah well. Another year. More games, more stories.
May they be interesting.
